What's with all the negativity, and calling it sniper repeat, really? So you're saying they should have changed the entire series to where it's no longer recognizable lol. A sequel should stay true to the formula while delivering improvements around the board, saying this game is a 7 is a joke, the game excels in all areas compared to past entries. It's a solid 9, but these games shine the most with all the HUD turned off and played on the hardest setting. It's one of the few games where you increase the difficulty and the AI actually gets better, not just turning enemies into a bunch of bullet sponges. You can also customize the difficulty in every aspect that you want.

If they moved from WW2 to Vietnam for Sniper Elite 6 & 7, they could have an aging Karl pass the torch to Carlos Hathcock, which was a real sniper from Vietnam. He is the sniper famous for taking out a Vietnam sniper THROUGH THE SCOPE by aiming for the glint from the enemy’s scope. Just a thought!
They should just use on big open world map. Combine this game with the Saboteur game would be the best thing ever. An WW2 open world game with this gameplay is perfect.

Nah, not V2. 3-5 look quite the same, but that’s also a symptom of 5 being held back due to being cross-Gen. 3 is a big change in gameplay from 2, and 4 makes big improvements on 3. 5 seems like they’re just trying to perfect what they had in 4. I don’t expect anything gamechanging in the series until it becomes current-Gen only
Sniper Elite 2 was practically a game on rails, very little stealth in it. 3 was were proper stealth was available, with 4 & 5 being big improvements with much more features.

All you have to do is watch a couple of the actual professional grade full scale reviews of SE5 from channels like ACG to see just how half-assed some of these IGN "reviews" have become in comparison...This isn't necessarily a bad take, it's just more of a seemingly rushed single difficulty, default setting, campaign and co-op preview than it is a full review.
They need a Sniper Elite set in Stalingrad just because some of the most famous marksmen in WW2 fought un Stalingrad or even set a Sniper Elite in the winter war
One of my biggest issues is the graphics, they look dated. It's not unreasonable to expect a complete and more up to date graphics upgrade. Object geometry looks very basic, and textures are flat. It looks like SE3 to me. I'm playing it on Sniper Elite difficulty setting which makes progress a bit slower.

Jump from 3 to 4 was considerable. Way more freedom and map size, it changed into true sandbox. Instead of rather linear and small missions of 1-3

Graphics definitely feel a bit dated for a next gen release. Animations and facial movements in cutscene were lacking. Gameplay is fun tho.
Hopefully they fight the Japanese in the next one. Would be cool since the Japanese liked to hide in trees and snipe a lot as well. Could be cool
