As always you are a breath of fresh air! With everyone else complaining about Disney and their prices, you’re taking us for a fun day in Tennessee doing cute things. Loved every minute of this.
Miss Jackie you are such a delight, we love how you notice the lovely details and your sense of humor about things. We could tell you weren’t impressed with the Apple Barn’s food, but you stayed respectful and had a good attitude. Our favorite part of the video was the goat feeding and the mountain coaster, the kids were squealing laughing watching you struggle on the bikes and feeding the goats and when it tried to eat Sam’s shirt we lost it ! You are brave to ride that mountain coaster but you’re right, the views were so worth it. Another gem of a vlog, thank you for bringing us on your travels .
Crockets breakfast camp is one that is very popular and highly recommended that i've been meaning to try and Cumberland Jacks is a new restaraunt right next to it that looks really good! I also HIGHLY recommend the Inn at Christmas Place for a future visit - it was absolutely beautiful loaded with gorgeous Christmas decor all over hotel and in the room and you get a free hot cookie at night. The property around it is beautiful and right across the street is an enormous immersive Christmas shop! Also the Titanic museum is fantastic and I highly recommend it as well - very immersive with fully replicated rooms, costumed in-character actors, interactive elements and real artifacts.
I was just there in pigeon forge for a week, we left yesterday. My first time visiting there and it is so beautiful in the fall with the beautiful fall Foliage and the cute fall decor sprinkled thru every inch of the towns. Im already planning to go back! Enjoyed watching your videos and seeing the places we also visited.
AppleWood is a must try for breakfast when you get the chance! Possibly my favorite local breakfast spot in PF. Love that apple butter and all the shops. All the years I've been going and I've never had lunch or dinner there, only breakfast. It is slammed since it is fall break for most of the south 😅
I grew up with seasons and I still get all starry eyed when the leaves change. I'm sure some people take it for granted, but looking at fall foliage is a big thing up north.
If you're planning on coming back for the holiday season, I recommend first or second week of December (if you can). Not as busy since kids in TN and the south are still in school, no wait at restaurants and minimal traffic. It's the perfect time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Christmas week is considered "Hell week" here and I'd avoid if at all costs unless you just really want to spend Christmas in the mountains.
Thank you for showing a little bit of Pigeon Forge. I’m trying to get my family to agree on a trip to TN so I’m using your videos to show them how wonderful it is!
same for us, we decided to scrap our disney trip. Plan B was dollywood mostly because of Jackie detailed video. And guess what, we met her and Sam, in Dollywood today. They are very nice, took the time to talk to us for a bit. Dollywood is very nice, felt like if frontierland was in Animal kingdom.
I know exactly what your lunch was like, we waited a hour for the Loveless Cafe in Nashville. When we finished they were telling people an hour and forty five. I now know I will not even think about that coaster! Where you in Gatlinburg when the tragic fire happened? I get to Tennessee at least once a year but I've only done Pidgeon Forge 4 times. I remember when they built the island. Get away from the tourists and head out to the park and enjoy nature up close and personal.
Welcome to my town again! I live very close to the Applewood. It's touristy and I don't go near it anymore. It does have a real good breakfast though. I recommend getting off the beaten path and to check out the small places off the strip. Yelp and Trip advisor will help you with that. Fall at Dollywood is my favorite time to be there. They do it right. You should try the Local Goat..I know but it's real good ..lol Have a great visit!
Def, we always add some off the beaten path places into our road trips along w the touristy stuff so we for sure will. We kept driving by the Local Goat and it looked SOOO packed, but I saw it had good reviews so maybe we can try it next time, thanks for the recommendation! Don’t think we’ll be rushing back to Applewood again, but glad we at least tried it and got the experience.
Jackie I am in Cleveland about an hour and half away and I drive up to Gatlinburg on occasion just to eat at the Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg and highly recommend the Wildberry Crepes! Enjoy!!!
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are our favorite place to visit but haven’t been in along time cause it has gotten so busy. Really enjoy your videos and glad you enjoy the area. 👍
Thanks for taking us back to old country and the smells of Christmas..love Tennessee …Was that Jackie on fast track 2, it was fun and a long ride…way to end the night with the fire pit…thanks again.
Apple Barn restaurant is really good. Home cooked food. They have a good deal on Sundays. You should do their cider tasting the next time you are there. Their ciders I like better than their wines.
I was there last Saturday. I do DW and goats coaster when I go there. You were hearing Jerry Clower. He was a southern comedian in the 70s-90s. All clean jokes and Hilarious.
Thank You Jackie and Sam for showing us how much Fun Fun.Can Be without Disney I LOVE Disney but seeing NEW and Great Places and All the different things to do! .I had SO MUCH FUN on THIS Trip☺🍊
Awesome to see that y’all are back in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg again. Love watching your videos there. Loved Goats on the Roof. *One tip to miss the traffic: You can take Teaster Lane and Veterans Parkway to get around.
Wow! What a beautiful place! This is one amazing vlog,we sure appreciate your efforts and quality content thanks Jackie for all you do! Lol just awesome!🙂✌🏼⚘
We were just there last week as well. Ironically because we rescheduled our Florida trip to Universal due to the Hurricane. We love TN and this was our third visit. We went to the Apple Barn restaurant for breakfast Thursday before hitting Dollywood for the day. Old mill is always amazing Frizzel Chicken with the animated chickens is another cute one to visit but food is just so so.
@@SuperEnthused Jakie, if you haven't done the Drivve through Cades Cove I highly suggest it. Could be packed! Make sure you use bathroom before you go! Wildlife galore and beautiful views. You will not regret the Vids you will get there in Fall this time of year! Cheers! You and Sam Enjoy! Rock on..
Hi, as always you bring joy to us. Pigeon Forge has so much to do. We have plans to go to Dollywood in 2023, we haven't been since the late 90s. We hope to do the park a couple of times and then explore and go to some other places that y'all have shown us. We always vacation outside TN, South Carolina, Florida, my Dad loves the ocean beaches. Yes, Tennessee is beautiful in Fall. I live in West Tennessee my whole life and I'm surrounded by cows and fields and hills, which is starting to look like a colorful Wonderland with all the Fall leaves. Hope y'all have amazing trip again. Be Safe Take Care.
Brought back happy memories of our 15 years living in Virginia. We do miss the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall ( and the apple donuts) . We don't miss the winters though !
For sure, VA is BEEEEAAAUTIFUL, but last time we were there in spring and it was still freezing! The warmer months there are where it’s at! Although it’s nice to feel a change in weather once in a while when you’re from Florida.
When my family and myself were there after labor day they had begun installing all the Christmas lights. We ate at the apple barn restaurant and it was uber delicious and the customer service was top notch. We're already planning our next trip for hopefully longer.
We have a Disney and Universal trip planned for March and that’s how I started watching your videos. We actually looked into Dollywood and the Pigeon Forge area before deciding on Orlando! I’m from New England and we have spectacular fall foliage but your videos make the Smokey Mountains look like soooo much fun! Definitely back on our bucket list 🥰
We moved from Florida to Tennessee in 2006 and have never been to Pigeon Forge! This is the first I've seen of it. Great video, you are always full of life and fun, and I appreciate all you do. Sam is great and you both make my day! I'm going to get there some day soon!
The Smokey's are such a great place to spend time - I really hope you guys get up to Vermont/NH area you will absolutely fall in love with it. Just get there before too much cold sets in! lol
Beautiful video! This my has been my favorite place for years and years. You and Sam present it very well. That's my home away from home. Y'all juss need to move here and get it over with! lol 😆😂
