- Paul and Darren jam using the line out from the Roland EC10 Cajon to do some fun looping. The mix of acoustic and electronic make this a very exciting instrument to play. Layered shakers, bongos, clavè and some dub.
** Ending section is ONLY the acoustic sound of the EC10. No electronic sounds. **
Gear used:
Roland EC10 x2
BOSS RC1 looper compact pedal
Roland DP10 damper pedal. (Used for start/stop) on RC1.
Amplifier / Sound System. - Видеоклипы
This is crazy good! Adding a simple looping pedal adds so much!
Now that's awesome, nearly bought one today, shall buy one next pay day!!!
That was fantastic!
Fantastic video. I have been looking into the EC10, and after watching this video I really want one.
Amazing, gonna get me one of those!
That could be a great busker show!
Awesome!!
Amazing!
Wooow!!!👏👏👏
cool!!!
Wow!
Very Cool
how change the sound? plugins?
i just bought me one..been researching for a couple years.. i love it...veey addicted..and i play guitar
Randall Grindle - You bought an RC1 looper? Excellent! You can use it for many things, guitar included!
Hi. I have an EC10 and am thinking id getting a looper. As most loopers are sold for guitar, which are suitable for the sounds on the EC10?
Steven Pape - loopers are generally targeted at the guitar market, but can be used for absolutely anything. There are loopers aimed at vocalists that have harmony and effects built in, but in the case all you need a simple one. The BOSS RC1 was what we used. Run the line out from the EC10 into it the same way as a guitar or keyboard and then from the pedal to an amplifier. Good to go.
Awesome! Would you mind listing what you used in addition to the two EC10s? Looks like one looper and one additional pedal. Please confirm and identify make/models you used for a newbie. Thanks!!!!
Absolutely! We used the RC1 looper and then used the DP10 damper pedal as a Start/Stop for the looper.
Both EC10's are plugged into the RC1 inputs A/B and then outputs A/B is going to a sound system or amplifier.
+Paul J Hermann Thanks so much! I suspect this will help others besides me.
+kevinb2014 - excellent. I just added this information to the description. Thanks!
i will be trying this tonight with a ec10 and a boss rc20xl hooked up to a pa. wish me luck
Absolutely! Send a video link my way. I'd love to see you in action. Or atleast report your success.
+Paul J Hermann will do, ill try to tet some video. i play percussion in an acoustic cover band and would like to work this into a set. maybe a wannabe john bonham drum solo kinda thing? lol in my dreams haha
+steven hughes - how'd it go?
+Paul J Hermann good. i just havent been able to get a decent video out of it yet. the rc20xl I had was junk so i switched to a rc30 dual track machine. thanks for the motivation ill have to get a video up soon!
How do you get the Looper output back into the cajon? With the Aux. input?
We didn't run the audio back into the cajon. We went right to a sound system.
Awsome...Can you plz tell me what loop paddle did u use?
Thanks! in this case, we use the BOSS RC1 Looper.
Can you plug this Cajon into a guitar amplifier?
Thanks. I'm a guitar player.
Eric Briggs - you could, for the sake of jamming. Although, loud transients can be damaging to guitar amps. If you want some good bottom end clarity, try a keyboard amplifier, or PA speakers. These are designed for electronic drums/percussion and won't be damaged.
what cable should you use to send the audio from the cajon to a sound board??
timsoc70 - with this, you can just use a normal guitar cable to go between the cajon and sound guy. DI box is an option as well.
thank you so its not a balanced out
timsoc70 - Correct, I believe it’s an unbalanced signal.
What kind of mike are you using?
No microphone needed on this. Just the line out from the EC10.
what loop pedal are you using?
It's the Boss RC1. Extremely simple, and I like the visual LED display.
Thanks man...looking to get same setup:)
+Alvin Fejarang very cool. Be sure to send me a link to a video of you doing to same thing!
What is the title of this song?
"Two guys in a warehouse, jamming on some EC10's". It's also known as "dude, don't mess up the ending!"
Can you show us the hook up pls.
Oscar Navarrete - Both EC10 outputs go into the one RC1 (Input A and B), and then the output goes to an amplifier or sound system. Then a DP10 or any footswitch pedal is plugged into the Footswitch jack. That’s really it.
EL CAJÓN IS A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, ORIGINARY FROM PERU, THEN ELECTRONICALLY MODIFIED, THE ORIGINAL CAJÓN IS ONLY WOOD, PURE ACOUSTIC SOUND.
It needs a pedal to stomp it though some different sounds...
maybe a multieffects in-line with the looper?... great idea!
Funny.
