Excellent review: I am looking for a dehumidifier with a large enough tank, so that only one trip per day be necessary to empty it (although two trips per day is acceptable). I live in an apartment, and cannot run a hose to any drain. I do not know how many pints I need it to collect in my apartment, per day, but the more the better. I would rather have a far more powerful unit than I need, vs having an under-powered unit or one that is running at its design limit. Do all of these units detect when their bucket is full, and shut off? Also, from reading reviews, many units claim to cover X square footage, but do not. Many manufacturers tend to exaggerate their unit's performance capability. So if I need to cover 1,000 square feet, do I play it safe with a unit rated for 2,500 square feet? Lastly, I would prefer to not have one that is too noisy. But if noise is a bi-product of a powerful unit, then I will accept that compromise. In summary, I would like a unit that is: -- powerful. -- large enough water tank. -- not too loud. ...and is it worth buying an over-sized unit, to ensure great performance? You didn't actually try them because anyone that did would actually take a video rather than use stock footage. Have you watched car and driver where they actually drive the car?? Waste of time!!
