- Lavaux is a region in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland in the district of Lavaux-Oron. Lavaux consists of 830 hectares of steep terraced vineyards that stretch for about 30 km along the south-facing northern shores of Lake Geneva.
Take a hike through one of the most beautiful landscapes in Switzerland: well-marked hiking trails, which offer a magnificent view of Lake Geneva and the Alps, lead through the imposing, terraced vineyards of the Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The winemaker families have been lovingly cultivating their vines here for many generations, have created terraces on the steep slopes above Lake Geneva, whose beauty charms transient visitors.
The wine-growing area stretches between Lausanne and Vevey on more than 805 hectares, on which since the 12th Century steep terraces have been created.

@@mhmdahmed2149 I was a child at the time, so I didn't have much choice! As it happens, I lived in Milan before going to Switzerland and in Torino afterwards. Not so bad, eh?
