RIP Gil Santos. You’ll be missed so much, and while Bob and Zo do a good job nowadays, they will never be able to do what you did for so long in the broadcast booth.
As a Pats fan now living in Philly, today I had to listen to the game on the radio (via the interwebs) for the first time since Gil retired. Its just not the same. Not even close.
Mr. Santos was the best I listened to him every week even in all the losing seasons He kept you in the game. When the Patriots started winning I use to turn down the volume on the TV and listen to him As a fellow veteran he served in Vietnam Mr. Santos you are a Hero to me!!RIP
Thank you, Gil Santos, for a great 36 years of calling the very best in play by play. I wish you all the very best, and here's hoping your successor does a hell of a job. He's gonna have big shoes to fill!
+Mason Langosch I know i wished he called the interception with Gino, Nothing against Bob Socci or Zo, i they are good, but Gino and Gil were the best duo and would have called malcolm butler's interception WAY BETTER.
Santos was and always will be a legend in the booth....and the Ravens fans with their Seven Nation Army thing are completely and utterly annoying. The Ravens are just an annoying franchise in general.

Tristan Andrew A voice you can never forget. RIP
RIP Gil. You were the voice of football to me. Listened to you growing up and you will be missed.
RIP Gil. You were one of the best broadcasters Boston ever had.
Not a patriots fan by any means but what a great broadcaster santos was. I have missed him and always miss hearing his voice.

Amazing voice for the Pats. When Gil announced, you felt you were right there at the game. 🎙

6:46 Bob Socci absolutely sees it as a privilege and has been a perfect man to fill your shoes. Thank you, Gil. We miss you. ❤

RIP Gil Santos
He will be missed!!
man, I miss the recaps on the scoring and other major plays right after the game from Gil
It indeed is different - imagine how Santos would have called the Kenbrell Thompkins touchdown and the comeback win over the Broncos.
+Michael Daly Or How he would've called Butler's interception in the SB.
+Mason Langosch I know i wished he called the interception with Gino, Nothing against Bob Socci or Zo, i they are good, but Gino and Gil were the best duo and would have called malcolm butler's interception WAY BETTER.
Mason Langosch
Damn, that's right! I hadn't thought of that one.
Or how Santos would have called the comeback over the Falcons

RIP :(
“Second and goal at the Falcons 2. A touchdown here and the game is over. Toss sweep to James White, heading to the right side.....”
This would also be Aaron Hernandez last game.
I'd Rather listen to gil than watch the game.
lol Rice. anyways. Gil ended his career with Brother vs Brother.
what higher honor is there, truly.
RIP.

Sadly the broadcast booth is right behind the opposing teams bench. So you get a bit more away fans in that area.
gil santos > m. mills.
