I think this edges out the Rival for me as my go-to all purpose SMG. They increased the Rivals horizontal recoil in the update, this one feels a lot smoother by comparison. Also the +range and velocity barrel is really, really good. Rival ttk might have a 10-15ms ttk edge in most cases but the HRM 9 puts rounds on target a lot more consistently. If nothing else it's the better option to run suppressed
