As a black man living in China and exploring far and wide, i had to visit this market, get into and show you the full experience and some of the amazing and interesting prices there.

Been there! It's not just about finished products - it's all those sub-assemblies and individual components. There's nowhere else on Earth where you can buy a bag of 100 (albeit untested) 100A IGBT's for $5 (US)! Transistors? they literally can sell you a 5 litre ESD-safe plastic bucket full for $15 (US).

You justifiably covered the more glamorous aspect of RC toys and such, but the "commercial" side is where the good deals are to be had, especially when you consider this is the "All Year Round" component expo for all those smaller Manufacturers. Upstairs, where the "commercial" deals are made, you can buy components for ridiculous prices. Things like $10 for a 100w violet laser diode (just the diode, mind you), however the stall next door will sell the enclosures, heatsink compound, and the next one along the regulated PSU. Then' there's the absolute gold-mine of "short production run" abandoned products, "marketing trial" products, and all kinds of things that didn't make it to the Global Market. All available for less than the cost of the components. Into 3D printing? This is the Chinese "One Stop Shop" for everything you'll ever need (and things you never thought existed!). AMAZING deals on PLA and ABS filament, as well as hundreds of filament composites you've never heard of (including graphite-filled Teflon!). EVERY PART for EVERY printer ever marketed, and all for incredible prices. We go there every year just to see what's new, and what's on special offer 🙂
