Awesome footage. That GP looks in good condition too, love the fresh paint. Also a great horn. A good horn really makes the experience and the presence of a train. Amazing how two of those can pull that entire train. Question: how does the engine in the rear receive the MU signals for throttle, brake, etc? I dont think there is an electrical cable going between every car to reach it, so is it via radio waves? Or an engineer in the rear?
They ran it with the motor on idle basically. The engineer would walk back too the rear engine and get it set up during it's ten minute stop in Parkdale. Now they just run one sd40 for the consist and have it shoved backwards through the canyon
Bathroom was in the nose of the 728 but unfortunately the locomotive no longer has a bathroom there now, it got turn into storage for traction sand and first aid equipment.
The 728 in the video has no bathroom and when i use too work there the conductor would have too use a restroom in one of the passenger cars on the consist
2015 the last time I rode inside that engine. Back than it was silver and blue with stripes. Love the air horn.
This is the engine that got me into loving trains. I’ve wanted to bring her back to her home state (Virginia) for a while.
Just wait till my new video tonight
719LifeStyle ok! I’ll sub to u.

@@719LifeStyleoh. Thank for answering
What a piece of crap. A couple seconds of the inside of the loco, then the underside of the train, then the train from a far off distance.
Thank you for watching
