Was skeptical I could do this but Corona virus gave me no choice. The braid down and sew in went rather quickly. The bobby pin trick saved so much time. My hair is straight and synthetic so the invisible knot wasn't working. I took pre-streched braiding hair and "straightened" it with large rollers and hot water to get the krinkles out. It blends perfectly now! No leave out = no heat damage!! I am so proud of my $25 dollar sew in. Chicks on the street in NYC asking me where the secret salon is! Thanks Sis
girl you forgot to mention how difficult this is!...its 5 am and Ive been busy with this since midnight. I did everything myself...even the cornrows! They looked horrid lol but Im so proud of myself, plus no-one is gonna see them anyway. Im gonna take a break now bc my back is sore and the slippage is getting me frustrated. But Ive almost finished the right hand side of my knotless crochet and its looking pretty good...hopefully it'll be laid when I take my head scarf off in a few hours. Thank you so much!! You are a life saver
Hunni let me tell you I was so frustrated with my leave out it wouldn't blend for nothing in the world and then i came across your video and lo and behold it was like Christmas morning no more tryin to blend my unruly leave out and i washed my hair it's still in tact. It took a min for me to get it but once I did tht was all she wrote..
I love this video and method. I like how you just get right into it as well. So many people talk too much before they start showing how to do much. Thanks girl!!!
New submit!!! YOU. ARE. THE. TRUTH. I LOVE how thorough you are with your explanations and YES to ding your hair yourself!! I've been doing my own sew ins for the last 6 years! But THIS will be a LIFE SAVER!! I've been trying to mouse and wrap my leave out and limit to heat only after washing every 2-3weeks. Ha! BYE BYE DAMAGE!!! Thank you so much for these tips!!!!!!
Seun the G.O.A.T! Thanks for sharing this awesome tutorial. This technique for the middle part on top of a u-part wig is one of my go-to protective styles.
i love the ideas of the crochet and weave! I wouldn't have thought of doing that so thanks for sharing. The braid size is definitely not for everyone. Your hair is on the thin side and relaxed so you don't get bulk. Someone with thicker and/or natural hair wouldn't benefit from the size of those braids especially as their hair gets longer. eta: seriously, I'm so happy i saw this vid... i needed an alternative to straightening my leave out... I'm so happy this came across as a suggested video
The most annoying thing is I thought of doing this ages ago but was too scared! I didn't think you could use virgin hair. Thank you so much for making this video!!
Subbing and I didn’t even finish the video!! Just wanted to say thank you so much for showing me that you can just sew around the track. This WHOLE time for years I’ve been piercing the weft and this alone will save me and my hands sOo much strain so thank you so effing much 😅❤ Edit : ok after finishing the video you blew me away! I’m gonna have a whole new method and natural look now and I’m done with trying to make the lace front work 😂❤❤❤
Wow wow WOW! This is just what I've been looking for ! I hate closures ! Can't stand the feel of my scalp covered up completely and omg hiding the Lace .. just impossible ! Thank you thank you Thank you !!! Xx
I'm just happy I chose to try one more No closure, no leave out video, under my frustration. Now I am smiling, this is it. This is it, I have found happiness. Thanks. Brilliant.
You just answered a question I’ve been wondering for awhile. I always wondered if I could use human hair to crotchet in my head and now that I’ve seen someone else do it, I’m happy bc I will be trying this also.. great tutorial!
Hi, I love what you did, one thing I must say is your REAL hair looks more bueatiful than the actual weave sweetie. Your hair is super long and healthy , you dont need it at all. Its is so convenient for us working gals . GREAT , GREAT VIDEO MY DARLING ......👍❤👍❤👍❤
By far, your videos are the best in my opinion because even though you chemically alter your hair (i.e. relaxer) you are not overtly concerned with bone straightness. Many of the other videos, the ladies want bone straight hair, and this includes the edges. There is a lot of pulling, twisting and using of gel used to straighten the edges. Your processed hair still looks very natural and there is nothing wrong nor unattractive with slightly fuzzy edges. I too trying to grow my own hair, and the protective style I use is: 1. corn rows of my own hair; 2. wearing high quality, light weight wigs; 3). never ignoring my own hair. I wash it with non-sulfate shampoos, and deep condition no less that 3 times a month; 4). regular hair trimming, to remove any split ends. Split ends are the fast way to impede your hair growth and facility breakage before one can appreciate any length via new growth; and last but not least, moisturizing our hair is important, and hair "grease" is not moisturizing. I have discovered moisturize hair stops split ends, and aids in growth retention and the number one ingredient for retaining moisture is GLYCERIN. If your shampoo has alcohol, thru it out. Alcohol drys our hair so fast and dry African American hair will dry & split from the alcohol. Make sure you are moisturizing with glycerin first and foremost and removal of split ends.
Thank u so much for sharing!!! Yes Lord!! This is perfect. I only wear sew ins and I could wear lace closure or frontal but u have maintain those too much.
Tariro Chelsea Gweshe just take out the sewing first get the part , get the end of the leave out you tuck underit and take it out like how u take out regular cornrows the crochet parts will come.out to.
I saw this video a short time after it was released. Recently, someone installed my top tracks with glue, irritating my scalp, I took them out and had to figure out how to fix that part. I've redone the braids and run the middle, adjoining one down the through the back wefts. Now, I'm going to rest, then install the hair from the weft. My hair is in a bob and is only 8" long. I hope this works. If, not, I'll buy linger hair and trim it after it's installed. Thanks again for showing this method of completion of a middle part sew-in.
Will this work with ombré hair/two toned hair? I have a red & black sew in and I really want to try it but not sure if it’ll work with crocheting. Any tips?
Onde vc mora?
So when you take your hair down do you keep the crotchet pieces ? Or throw them away ? Do you think gluing them together will help them become useable ?
Im a hair stylist. I looove this video!!!. Must of use are doin hair weave now no matter if your natural hair is long, short, healthy, or damage. When wearing hair weave you want it to look natural as possible. Good job!!.. Cause honey, natural hair can be healthy and glow, but hair weave is good to go !!!...
thanks!!!! (this is the same method I used in my other no leave out video by the way(: ) Here is a tutorial on how to remove it: ruclips.net/video/C_wtrSu-Zi4/видео.html
I just keep redoing it, frizz the hair to make it less silky by combing and feathering it out, or use smaller peices. Slipping can be annoying but it also depends on the hair.
I want to use this method but I am struggling because I want to do a two part sew in with no leave out and I can't figure out a braid pattern. Any suggestions?
I actually figured out a way to turn this into a side part. I didn't film it because it was a very quick thing I did one morning when getting ready, but basically i flipped the crochet part over and crocheted on top of the weft, so one side was the underside of the original crochet, and the other was newly crocheted onto the weft. Sorry, its hard to explain without seeing it. It was kinda complicated and may not work well for you. BUT, to actually answer your question... try doing more braids going straight back to crochet onto, either three or four, instead of two. Pretty soon I will have a tutorial up of me crocheting all of my hair, and in it I have multiple parts. The braiding pattern is different, but it may help you see what I mean by using additional braids going straight back to create multiple parts.
Was skeptical I could do this but Corona virus gave me no choice. The braid down and sew in went rather quickly. The bobby pin trick saved so much time. Yes, it can be difficult, but you do get better with practice. Very happy to help!(:
You'll get better with progress trust me when I first started crocheting it took me freaking 10 hours for my whole head but now only 2 hours .

This looks really natural but does the crochet part stay put? Also how do you maintain it as the braids get loose after washing? TIA😊

Genius
So when you take your hair down do you keep the crotchet pieces ? Or throw them away ? Do you think gluing them together will help them become useable ?
The crochet pieces would be hard to reuse. I personally don't do it, but if there's a will then there's a way. I wouldn't recommended using glue
thank u soo much for doing this video and plz do more 😊
You are very welcome, and there is definitely more to come from me!(:
Hey how many packs of hair did you use and what lengths?
Wish i could like two times 😍 so pretty
Thank you!!
very nice tutorial
Thanks!
Looks gorgeous! :)
How much of the track hair did use to finish the top with crochet method
I didn't use too much. I show the exact amount in this newer tutorial. m.ruclips.net/video/YTS30m69nbo/видео.html
Where do you guys but that needle thing she is using? And whats it name?
"Latch hook"
This is pretty, what kind of hair is this?
This is great! Thanks!
Love this technique lam going to try this no leave out thanks beautiful.
You are very welcome!
Did you use a whole bundle to use do the crochet part or only half?
Not up to a half. I'd say somewhere around a fourth to a fifth of a bundle.
How many bundles would I need if I'm just doing a short look like 14 inches ?
I would say 3
Seun thank you so much!
YOU ARE MY HEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKS !!

love the side video one to. how long will this last
It should last for 2 months
I can imagine your hair growth after this style
Yes!

How was the hair? It came out really pretty.
