One reason to buy more Kobes is unlike the living legends, Kobe isn't going to say anything controversial that will take away from his popularity. D Wade just said people hated Miami's big 3 because they were black? Kareem went all out attacking unvaccinated players? players get arrested, demand trades and do all kinds of things that can ruin or devalue their name from here on out. Kobe will hold value as long as this hobby exists.
In the modern age, that's no longer actually true... an old deleted tweet that someone randomly found a screenshot of, women start coming out saying they were sexually assualted (particularly relevent here) or he was cheating on his wife for years, etc... all those things are possible now-a-days. I persoanlly like Kobe and he is most likely "safer" than a majority of professional atheletes who are still alive, but playing a bit of devil's advocate here, in that your argument isn't actually correct. I certainly wouldn't let the fact that he's dead be a deciding factor in buying a Kobe card, which is essientially what you're saying. Or any card for that matter.

That 2017 Fleer Spider Man Gold at 5:16 has an "Mike Baker Authenticated" sticker on it... explain to me how a 1/1 is being rated as "in the top X% of the cards", when the card itself is 100% of the cards that exist? Who would even think to send their 1/1 into that service? And why tf would you want to? Soooo many questions now, when I had none before. Thanks for the content, SCI!

What about centering on older cards? For example a 1948 leaf Babe Ruth card. Since cutting the cards back then was not as easy to get a great centered card, so does it matter as much on older cards?

Man you're overpaying on a lot of these cards in every video. Yea cards are cheaper now vs. last year but that's because they were never worth anywhere near what they were selling for. Most big cards will likely continue to go down you're better off just hanging out on the sidelines and buying back in down the road you would likely save a lot.
