LEGENDS!! "Live Tapes' has got to be one of the best live performance in Rock History... A double album of excellent Prog Rock at its best... I remember when we first discovered this band via Live Tapes back in 1979 during the height of the Lebanese Civil War & we would turn down the lights ( when we had electricity that is ) and listen to this album over n over again....& this song would give us goosebumps whilst the distant sound of bombs would be heard as we lay there with our imaginations running wild... Thank you John, Les , Mel & Woolly... LIVE ON!

I had their live album in 1974 and really enjoyed it (vinyl 1st time round - OMG I'm that old). Love this ironic sense-of-humour middle finger gesture to those who were unnecessarily derisive back in those days. Well done guys - love this track.

34 years ago..1984..I was an officer at sea when I called the love of my life from a scabby bar in Elefsis (near Piraeus) on shore leave from a tanker on a rare port call (communication from sea in those days was sparse and expensive) to be informed she couldn't wait any longer....and my arch enemy had stolen her away. I returned home when my trip finished and was lost. For the next 6 years we saw each other again on and off again in between others. Always knowing somehow we were meant to be together...but never did....this song brings me to tears every time I hear it....I played it more times than I can remember..... When her marriage fell apart in the mid 90's (1995) the first person she tracked down and called was me..... I was married with 3 children then... Mine failed also....and again the second one... I searched and found her again, again to find her in an unhappy relationship..... 2016......We met again that Christmas....For the first time since 1990.... The last 2 years have been the happiest of my life.... Two weeks ago we had a holiday together on the Isle of Skye in Scotland....almost the Honeymoon we never had...I proposed on her birthday in a remote cottage....we will get married February 2019. This song is probably the best BJH track ever and still gives me chills. Once it made me sadder than I ever thought possible....now it makes me sad only for
One of my late friends died at the start of 2020 and one abiding memory was tearing down to London in my 1100 and his mini to see BJH at the Tower Of London - and BJH always brings back great memories of him telling me how great they were and listening to them in his bedroom. Oh and the concert was cut short due to the ceremony of the keys!

Yes! Strawbs also rocked. Both of these bands deserved a better fate. They never sold out, but their fans are loyal forever.
