+darthhobbit69 I thought about painting the side white but.... A. I didn't have paint on hand when I went to film this DIY and I since I have so much rustic, unfinished wood in my place I thought it would be fine to leave unfinished ;-) It would have been fun to use gold or silver sheet metal to frame it too! Thanks for watching love!!
I actually bought this pb mirror in it's biggest size. I hate, hate, hate that I barely found this DIY vid. It's hanging in the background of my dining room, totally in a place where it could've been DIY'd and no one would ever have known. Ugh. BUT this came just in time because I wanted to buy two more of them, smaller this time, for my bedroom. I'll totally be DIY-ing them now! Thanks for the vid!
I would add bling wrap around edges or paint the edges before starting. u could even use about 3-4 pieces of heavy weight poster board and glue them together to make them sturdy as Ur backing and add commando strips and hang. u did an awesome job! I love it!
I seriously LOVE those beveled mirrors from the dollar store! I'm going to be doing a DIY on my channel using them too! Your DIY came together to well, definitely have to make this one for my new room décor
I love a beveled mirror! However, I wouldn't want plywood showing on the sides. Let us know if you decide to frame it or paint it or finish it in some other way.
Thanks Sharrah for sharing your dIY of an expensive PB mirror. $20 something is way better than $300.00. Also, thank you for those suggestions to paint the sides of the plywood, the silver leaf sounds fabulous too and make it larger. Sharrah you bring out the best in all of us! Hugs!
love it!!! look so good!!! is that glue strong enough if make a taller bigger mirror? i'm afraid the glue worn off in a couple of yrs and the mirror falls, any other trustable glue u recommend to do a bigger mirror?
I love this mirror and it was such a bargain to make it. I think i am gonna have to do this mirror in my home. The reflection of candles is Beautiful... I have Scentsy warmers to reflect in my mirrors.. Love this DIY! :)
this is the easiest and the most elegant diy. thank you Sharrah for sharing this video and i can't wait to see how you going to make that lamp next week yaaaay. im so excited. love you. I'm a fan of you and your lovely mom r.r from Kuwait. please say hi to her XOXO
After researching Mirror glue I found the following ... Liquid Nails Mirror Adhesive (low-VOC) (LN-730) This mirror adhesive will not desilverize mirrors. Fifteen minutes of working time allows for precision placement on most surfaces, and the flexible bond will not become brittle with age. It can also be considered a "green glue" because it is a low-VOC mirror adhesive.
+MrObbsesionAndrew Yayy! Love hearing that! Be sure to post a picture of you finished mirror on Facebook or instagram and tag me in it! I would love to see how it turned out!
"Live your style" is one of my all time favorite channels ( along with Robson designs), but I can't help but to ask. "Where Is Grayson"!? the 2 of you made the perfect DIY duo! His hand in carpentry and your eye for glam (lets not mention all the humor!) was the reason I started watching and subscribed. Is he gone for good? You're still great, but I can't help but feel like something's missing.
Whoa!! LOVE IT!! Can you imagine doubling or tripling the number of mirrors? So cool... Btw, how do you keep your E6000 from continuing to squirt out once you set it down?? I must be doing something wrong!
I when you can diy expensive things for less! So cute!! I have an idea for a different one to put on my channel. I hope mine comes out fancy like yours lol. Anyway, thanks for sharing!!
I LOVE MIRRORS! I dont need another mirror but.... I too have left overs from another project. they are larger beveled squares but.... im going to do this!!! it'll be grande
Hi Sharrah, I just wanted to let you know that I am a new subscriber to your channel and also to the Robeson Design channel. I am a big fan of both channels! Thank you for sharing your Interior Design reveals in both of your apartments.... Absolutely loved both of them!!! And thank you for the 25 Days of Christmas.... Loved them all and they made my Christmas celebration in 2015 extra special this year! Cheers! GGG
Hi great video, I've been looking for this mirror for quiet some time but as you mentioned very pricey. I'm going to try this. question - you didn't list the measurements of the mirror and wood. can you please let me know. Thanks again for your great tips and I look forward to more!
Just another tip for everyone. I would spray the sides of the plywood with metallic spray paint before adding the mirors to disguise the wood
I was just about to write that
thats what i said instead of having that wood part showing
You can also leave out a little bit of the wood and spray paint it and use it as a frame of the mirror. ^^
Kiara Bruce ..yes she left it untouched and it can be seen.
My thoughts exactly or stain the wood to give it a more finished look
LIQUID NAILS® Mirror Adhesive (LN-930) is a permanently bonding construction adhesive which will not damage reflective backing on mirrors.
Love this & I've had my eye on that pottery barn mirror for a while now. Now just to find the little beveled mirrors
I'd probably paint the sides but hey what a fab idea! Thank you.
+darthhobbit69 I was thinking the same thing!

+darthhobbit69 Silver spray paint or silver leaf would look good.

You can not go wrong with a mirror. Especially with using $.99 beveled mirrors. Thanks for sharing.
+ansbach74 Right?! I first found the mirrors at Michaels for $3 bucks each! Yikes... so glad I made a stop by the .99 store, was SO worth it!
I would add bling wrap around edges or paint the edges before starting. u could even use about 3-4 pieces of heavy weight poster board and glue them together to make them sturdy as Ur backing and add commando strips and hang.

Did you make it bigger? I'd really like a very large mirror. 5 mirrors across, 5 mirrors down. Did you paint the wood sides? Pic pls.

Hi great video, I've been looking for this mirror for quiet some time but as you mentioned very pricey.
I'm going to try this.
question - you didn't list the measurements of the mirror and wood. can you please let me know. Thanks again for your great tips and I look forward to more!
the wood would depend on how big you want it and the size of your mirrors. It could be any size you want it to be.
That is a cute project that is frugal to make. Thanks :-)
I see that glue in every diy video on youtube, iam about to jump in too and get it lol.
love your style
Where could I get those little mirrors besides the dollar store? Searched everywhere and couldn't find them :(
check out the AtHome
Die for this project, i am so giving this a try. thanks for sharing
Ramon @ home
So cute, loved this video. I just subscribed.
Just subbed to you! Thanks for sharing. Very easy to follow 😊
Love the idea
Found your channel from Kathryn at DoItOnADime. Just subscribed 👍🏼
I actually love that ! I cab make a huge one ! With those !
you should make 2 huge versions of this to lean against the wall and paint the edge silver
I would paint the sides before gluing on the mirrors but this is a great idea
I'd say $24.00 multiplied by 4 or 5, because that one was at least 4x bigger. Still a lot cheaper though.
Such a great DIY!! Definitely going to try this :D xx
+macantakai I love it too - can't wait to try!!
loved it I have to try that!!!!!!!!
Beautiful thanks for sharing
