i really wanna like this video to support your commitment to dropping the knight off the table but i also don't want you to do it again to the other night. the 8K resin knight would just shatter!
One of the best ways to do marble like effects is paint the model one colour then get a baby wipe (you let dry out) then pull it so it starts to break apart but not rip then put that over the area you want tightly and airbrush. There are lots of older videos on RUclips for it and it looks stunning!!
Hey, welcome to Blender and designing your own stuff! It is a rabbit hole. When I started there were very few "design for printing" creators out but there are more now.
There are so many good channels out there that I watch frequently now, I knew blender would be somewhat a rabbit hole but in the name of horus I have barely scratched the surface
Well done as always! Sometimes you just have to make a change from the lore to make a unit truly yours. My DKoK tanks and transports are multi-legged Dieselpunk walkers. No, it's not perfect to the lore but like you mine are however perfect for my enjoyment.
I went to my first 40k tournament and a kid was being careless and ran into the corner of the table and launched my 3d printed knight lancer off the table and broke...thankfully only the knees to shins (both legs) part broke and could easily glue it back together. Would love to see a plastic vs resin knight drop to see how the plastic holds ip
Ooof that's a hard one, mine was intentional and my stomach still sank lol glad yours was repairable as well! I should've bought a knight to do that too lol
Looks like a lot of the damage done to the knight is to connection points the weakest point for 3d prints and especially mechs. Arguably you could say this is the preferred way for models to break a well put together gw knight would break about the same way but with plastics they warp before breaking making reassemble much worse when massive failures happen. The real big difference though is replacing parts if you bend a plastic lance you have to bend it back yourself but a 3d printer can make as many you want

Funny thing i just finnished ny death korps knight, like two hours before this video was made😅😂
Good thing you have carpet.
But will it blend? 🤣
hey dude do you have a discord channel?
That's commitment to the channel, dropping that great knight. Glad you were able to repair it.
Lol thanks brother
I use a stippling technique with sponges/stiff brushes to add marble like texture to armor panels
Thats a good idea
I cringed so hard at the table drop. But as someone who dropped mine onto a laminate floor From a table top I understand the need to test.
Hahahaha I think we all know that sinking feeling
I feel your pain on breaking a big beautiful model. lol
Keep up the great work!
Haha thanks brother!
Well done mate. Took serious balls to drop it after all of that haha
hahah thanks brother
Let's go Sam! This turned out amazing. My knight broke a few times as well but I used the glue seams as weld lines to tie it all back in.
Your knight was the real inspiration brother
that *crrkk* "ohh nooooh"
i felt that in my soul
I was shocked the mic picked it up so clearly 🤮
No Sam, you are not the only one who goes overboard with new hobby's. Hahah
I'm glad I'm not alone lol
Kriegs got knight support on vraks so many kinda lore friendly, love your vids
happy days! thanks brother

Hahahaha yeah your right the other knight would be toast more than likely
Ive been wanting to get into 3d printing warhammer for a bit now and im so happy i found this channel

Looking at the video preview - "another click bate..." 15 minutes later - "wow, THAT was unexpected")
😂😂😂 You were almost right

That looks great! I especially love that base and the rusty chain around the knee.
And oof; shame it broke, but it did pretty well all things considered.
Thanks brother!
Wonderful build! Love the base, and I'll need to grab those sandbags from Cults. Always looking for a tougher resin; I might try this out.
Thanks brother!

Thanks! Ah yes I have seen those type of tanks before they are a good choice for the krieg!

I love the guard!
Thank god you are back
Good to be back and I'll be uploading the same frequency as before brother 😁
Well done 😍😍
Thanks!
4:32 ah yes a fellow collector of hobbies.
We are not alone lol
I commend you for going through with that drop test.
Thank you brother 😁
🔥🤘❤️ loved this
Thanks!
wait...wait...Why on earth wouldn't you have printed a second one for test drops and not use the one you spent hour painting, lol.
That... That's a smart idea that I never even thought off LOL
my first print from scratch did a plasma gun then made the coils bigger cos they were too fine working from plasma gun art
I’d love for you to make a video on teaching people how to use the slicer program like a full breakdown for someone who absolutely knows nothing
I could do but there are much better people out there lol
@@battlebrothersam yeah but your videos have been more self-explanatory than most people so I still feel like it would be good to do a video on it
Aaaaaa the pain 😢 i can feel it
you and me both lol

Exactly, I knew the glued connection pieces would be the weakest part but I should really have got a plastic knight and done the same drop test.
I tested that RPG resin, and for that price, it is not significantly better than Sunlu ABS-like. Sunlu is 90% as tough and much much cheaper.
Ah good to know! I used to use sunlu abs like but then it ran out of stock for ages, I must get some in

It HURT when you threw it from the table
It hurt us both brother
Dropping a model not on accident? Terrifying lol
😂😂😂 It took me so long to just do it
Let’s paint a whole model to a really high standard and then drop it
😅
ive never used my flex plate
What happened to my Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars comment? Huh 🤔
I haven't seen it in the comments to reply to brother! Must've been flagged ill check later
The stance looks a bit awkward, but damn, if this guy doesn't look good
That drop made me nauseous....
You and me both
Are you from Northern Ireland buddy?
