Caribbean and African Americans returnees to Liberia and Sierra Leone brought with them music which they infused with other West African music. that could be found along West Africa coastline is the foundation of what is called highlife. The word highlife itself as mentioned above was already in everyday use around the world
Ibo people should call their highlife Ibo highlife as Ibo highlife is different from Ghanaian highlife. Ibo highlife touches the soul it’s very spiritual and has patios. The way African American sing with such passion. Take it from a non-African
