"Sky - Hotta (Live@Westminster Abbey)" an excerpt from their concert back in '81 (on 24 February). Hotta, the first track from their second studio album (Sky 2).
True musicians. I was lucky and managed to see them a couple of times. Absolutely brilliant group. Just wish their back catalogue would get remastered.
But a very naughty boy. Peek was jailed in 1994 for fraud ($8 million dollars) in relation to Tracks Studio in West Perth. Was up to his neck in it again and was going to be prosecuted on 2 counts of making a false statement designed to deceive and defraud when he died from melanoma cancer. It's too bad all of this overshadowed his great musical career.
This is my all time favourite track of SKY. Am only just now getting back into them again, after selling all my vinyl albums yrs ago. Did anyone else to go see them at Drury Lane?
Herbie Flowers on bass. Writer of the legendary "Walk on the wild side" (Lou Reed, as if I need say), But he also wrote "Grand Dad" for Clive Dunn. He got the hook for the tune of Grand Dad from the sound of his doorbell: "Ding Dong". Becomes "Grand Dad". Simplicity in genius.
I remember seeing Sky at Newcastle City Hall a couple of times whilst John Williams was still with them. He used to get really pissed off if people clapped at the wrong time, before the song was finished!
Kevin Peek one of the finest guitarists that has ever existed, look up his pedigree, and the same can be said of Tristan Fry on Drums. You didn't become a member of SKY unless you were the best of the best.
I love these guys and their amazing music
True musicians. I was lucky and managed to see them a couple of times. Absolutely brilliant group. Just wish their back catalogue would get remastered.
I saw Sky once, the concert was great. I remember Herbie Flowers letting bubbles come out of the tuba during "Tuba Smarties". That was really funny.
Nothing negative about this performance...the music flows through you, just free your mind and open your ears!
you wanna feel good - listen this old music ! great performance - super musicancas !
Uno dei miei preferiti pezzi dei SKY. One of my favorite piece of SKY. From Italy.
One of the best prog bands ever !
John Williams. I'll just sit here and enjoy this.
RIP Kevin Peek, a true guitar god.

fantastic.........thanks for upload
THESE GUYS ARE SOME AWESOME MUSICIANS!!!
This is my all time favourite track of SKY.
Am only just now getting back into them again, after selling all my vinyl albums yrs ago.
Did anyone else to go see them at Drury Lane?
I'm so pleased I've still got an original. Album on vinyl
Magic!
The Perfect Rock Band!
i agree...great band !!!!...great musicians
true artists at their peak
No pun intended ?
wooooo hooo does not get any better remember this concert soo good!
Art! Super!

Lucky to see them :-)
Saw them on that tour (y)
so did I, very memorable concert, great band
Saw them at Blackpool that same year as I recall.
Hope you have found it! I have not putout anything here for long time :-)
Thanks for posting. Would love Fifo if you can do it
Great 👍🏻 😜😜😜😎😎😎😎😎😎😎⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...........stuff...................Amen 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Live or studio they sound fantastic
What was Roy Orbinson doing playing the drums?
That singing L5S. Would love to know how Kevin got that sound (pedal/s + amp)
Commodore 64; Suicide Express.
Beat me to it by 8 months...
Aww!
The audio's out of sync with the video!
Yes, sadly it is...
Cool this 08:00- For those who only wants to hear the drum solo and the end of the song!!
ha ha T.T.T. :-)
I guess the tickets was expensive...- but here is the song from consert :-)
Full show or longer version officially avauilable?
Seems sound out of sync with pics.
See JW keeping an eye on everyone.
Sounds like the drum machine is out of sync with Tristan on drums
Awesome band. Saw them in 1980. Why is the music out of sync with the video? So annoying.
The music and video are out of sync because they were ahead of their time!
jo sorry, schon nicht so gut, wie auf der LP ... für live ! ( da , oou, Genesis kann's ! ) ... aber , i love auch SKY !
I bit slow in this performance. too slow.
Ha ha what a problem :-)
всегда менестрелей привлекали к богослужению.....к сожалению современные менестрели слишком дороги для богослужений........
Love this song, but that drum solo is terrible; doesn't develop or go anywhere, just a lot of random hits of the cymbals.
Agree
I am sure that you could do better? But then again Tristan is the Worlds finest drummer.
It is just like the studio version so it is by design
this is evidence that brilliant classical musicians often make mediocre rock players
LIKE YOU WOULD KNOW
You obviously haven't heard of Yngwie Malmsteen then, he started-off as a classical violinist, anyway, let's see you do better than these guys.
Kevin Peek didn't have a clue about playing lead guitar. And then there's the awful drum solo by Tristan Fry...terrible!!!!
Is there a link to your guitar and drum solos so we can see how it's done?
Kevin Peek one of the finest guitarists that has ever existed, look up his pedigree, and the same can be said of Tristan Fry on Drums. You didn't become a member of SKY unless you were the best of the best.
The album version is similar. Its meant to sound "cacophonous"
Ohh gee wow - a comedian
Can we agree to disagree?
I used to more or less like some of these guys music. The live drum solo is as disastrous as the studio one.
