I once ran a 5k here in the US. 3.1 miles. I ran 2.9 miles without walking. I gave up. I walked a city block. As I rounded the corner I saw the finish line in sight. Nothing bugs me more to this day than quitting that close to the end. This video is going to serve as motivation. I WILL report back in. I'm wanting a 8 min/mile avg speed. Subbed to the new channel. Love this direction your headed!
6:30 hey torvesta, as someone whos been doing exercise fully natural for six years, ive achieved a similar physique and can see you're being honest about it good stuff king!
I've been lifting pretty seriously for about 8 years so I 100% know how much time and effort it took to get what you have accomplished. This is by far the best fitness motivational and informative video I've ever seen from a non-lifting channel. You've earned a ton of respect from me for being so real with everyone and have definitely earned my sub on your new channel. Can't wait to see what you have in store, keep it up bro!
Proud of you Torvesta! As someone who just broke 30, I one hundred percent have the same feeling of living life to the fullest and taking care of myself is so important! You look great, gains are insane! Go crush that marathon! I quit alcohol, tobacco, and a ton of bad habits over 3 years ago!
Congrats dude, I’ve gone through a similar body transformation in the last 3 years; it feels good to be comfortable with how you look. As a piece of advice to others, I took up climbing in inside gyms. I would really recommend this. Go there, climb, meet people - they’re insanely friendly - and just enjoy the sport; the fitness will come. I genuinely think a lot of people would find it a more relaxed, perhaps less likely to become physique-obsessed alternative to going to a regular gym.
Good for you, man. Its a really impressive transformation, and I think the touching on things like body dysmorphia is really important. A lot of people dont even realize they have it, and mentioning just how different someone can look in different lighting or on a highlight reel like social media is so insanely beneficial for people to hear. Especially considering this is something (especially from guys) that is rarely talked about.
Ive been training for 5 years now, but unlike you, I started fat and got huge pretty fast. Trying to cut down, but it is so hard for me. It's nice to see another runescape player pumping iron for so many years and to see the progression over time! Great physique mate!
You got this. If you can, make your own food. Include more protein and veg, they fill you up for less calories. Also I love strawberries and grapes. Really good snack for hardly any calories at all
8:18 Thought you were about to announce you're a dad - got happy for a second lol😅 Jokes aside, I'm really glad you did this video highlighting your personal stuggles and how you worked to overcome them. I think it's important these days, especially with how following generations are becoming more reliant on technology, to showcase the significance of leading a healthy lifestyle, not just relating to the body, but making sure you're in a good mental state too. Keep up the good work.
This is huge. I been working out in and off for 10 years now. But haven’t worked out in 2 years. This has motivated me to start again, no joke. I’ve always liked your style of doing things, and this is just the next best thing. Thank you and gl us. ❤️💪🏼
Remember seeing a pic of you peak bulk and told my buddy, "when he finally cuts its gonna be so insane" . That is 100% natty, 100% hardwork, 100% dedication. Been watching your content for years and it feels weird to say this, but proud of you man. Well done.
This has been a really helpful video for me at the moment. Lost a lot of weight just before covid because of cycling for work but that's all crept back on because of working from home. Getting into the gym at the moment and excited to see the content on the new channel!
ive started my gym journey about 3 months ago, i was sick of being the skinny kid. i started to lose motivation. this video right here is what gave me my motivation again, thank you so much for this video. to see your journey over 7 years all natural made me feel better as i refuse to do any enhancing drugs including caffeine, seeing how big other people were in the gym really made it difficult for me to motivate myself. you are awesome torvesta thank you!
There is absolutely no doubt that that’s a natural physique. In the most respectful way possible. Poor skilly still copping strays haha. Props to you for the marathon, good luck! And all the best for your pops ❤
Can't lie man. I've started going to the gym and i'm really motivated. But somehow listening to u talk about it made me feel something in my chest to be even more motivated and keep on that motivation. I don't really like commenting but i do wanna say, i'm glad i clicked on this vid even if its not runescape. Lets go through the journey together
I have watched your vids for nearly a decade and honestly you have inspired me so much with this one. I'm on the opposite side of the scale, on a journey to lose 100 lbs. Thanks for making this video, it was very motivating!

I don't really partake in RuneScape content anymore but I'm glad I saw this video. Thank you! It motivated me and I want to get back into exercising and having a routine. Congratulations on hitting your goal and never giving up
I really liked when you started talking about changing diet slowly. Im not neccesarily unhappy with my body, my natural muscle is pretty solid, but I wouldnt mind losing 10 lbs or so. I've recently started doing just that, where i started eating slightly better alternatives, whole wheat tortillas, olive oil ranch, real butter with a good ingredients list and I felt like it wasnt really enough but like you've shown me that yeah im doing something right and that feels so good. Thank you for that. Im not losing weight quickly or anything, but I've noticed a slight down trend. Im not in a rush, Im just wanting to get it done and this helped me a lot.
So important. Those who decide they're suddenly going to change everything and start eating everything healthy are always certain to quit and go back to their old ways. Start off slow and keep making small changes. Experiment with foods and find a form of exercise you enjoy the most. Best of luck
Wow bro! What a motivation you are. I started skinny too and I'm about 1 year into my journey now. Appreciate this to help me keep going! Edit: Started at 6'0", 138lbs. Now about 160lbs.
Niceeee, i started at 60kg…. Im also 1,85m. Right now im 66 after and in really want to get to 70. Once you get going its amazing, the beginning was for sure the hardesr.
I didnt even realize i just watched a 20 minute video. Im all in brother, teach me. I need this in my life right now. Im 140ish lbs, 5’9”, been that my whole life cuz im addicted to osrs. Finally an honest and true motivation i can relate with.
I recently started to watch body building content and there you are, one of my favorite content creators releasing this... I'm hitting the gym on tomorrow, thanks for inspiration!
You aint serious or you wouldnt wait til tomorrow and would have went right then and there! This like the addict that says theyll quit tomorrow, or one last high.
Recently this month I've decided to stick to the grind which is way longer than the once every other month i was doing before. I'm already seeing results and am motivated to keep it going, I still need to work on my diet to maximize the gains, and this video keeps that fire lit under me to go all in. WHOS GONNA CARRY THE LOGS?
You've always been a favorite of mine, but now more than ever! You're an inspiration and much more! Thank you for being so honest about everything, and saying the things that a lot of fitness oriented people leave out!
I started dieting and gyming in November. Unlike the recommendations to go slow and make gradual changes, I threw myself in the deep end by going 6 days a week and completely switching up my diet from total junk every day to learning how to cook and eating clean no matter what. Things were going great until last month when my gym was forced to close for renovations for a week, followed by myself getting (man) flu which put me out of action for another 2 weeks. I know deep down I've only been making excuses but it's been really tough for me getting back into routine and I've definitely slipped back into old habits. To try keep it short, I just wanted to say thank you. This video is the sign I needed that I've taken advantage of this break long enough and it's time to get back on the grind. Best of luck with your future goals and I'm looking forward to seeing what you post on your other channel!
Like I said. When shit gets tough, take it easy. For example your gym shut. Even if you did 2 home workouts a week with bodyweight or homemade weights even for 20-30 mins. Cut back when things get tough, the best thing you can do is stay consistent and don’t take big breaks. Keep it going. Thanks a lot
@@TorvestaRS You're absolutely right. I'm definitely going to get a home routine going for the days where I don't feel 100%. Hearing this encouragement from you means a lot, I really appreciate it.
hahaha cheeky asf @6:09 ahahaha bro this is huge motivation, im at the other end of the spectrum, 130kg at the end of last year, now im 115kg but loads of muscle on. beast for putting this out there bro good on you
GOAT!!! I struggled with body dysmorphia really badly and pushed myself to the point of constant injury because I wasn’t resting. I gave up and gained a lot of weight. I’m ready to get back on the grind! Shout out for your approach to this video and recommending warming up and healthy approaches. Legend and god speed to your dad
This is wonderful, congratulations sir. I’m sorry to hear about your dad’s condition, you’re helping massively by raising money so props to you for focussing on positive action!
Hey torv, I was in a really horrible headspace today after some bad medical news yesterday. This video inspired me not to give up, and understand it will be a long slow process, but I WILL heal. Thank you for sharing your journey, huge inspiration
Awesome video man, I just started on my gym journey. I was kind of the opposite of you. I've always been a runner and just did push ups, pulls ups, and sit ups as a work out. I liked it, kept me cut and lean. Now I'm going to the gym, lifting weights and gaining muscle. I met you at Twitchcon 2017 and you've made huge difference. I'll keep on my workouts and maybe Runescape can be the fittest gamers soon.
Hey Torvesta, My heart bleeds for you, my grandmother and her sister died from IPF in their 60s and it was grueling. I hope you and your dad enjoy every moment you can together.
Getting to this level is cut isn't an easy journey. Anybody can get gains. You can do steroids or you can protein and supplement pack. But it takes some serious motivation to get this look. Gratz homie. Good look 💯
tbh i started whatching this video with regret of what could be coming, but after the developing of the video, you running a full marathon, your dad problems, damn... its completly blowed my mind, and even inspired me to have a healthier life.. youre far away from beign just another youtuber, youre inspiration for many people, youre big torvesta. Just keep it up, ur father will be all right with no time! such a nice video!
Former Nationally ranked powerlifter here. Torvesta is speaking the truth. Everything in this video is the best way to get healthy. I used to think anything more than 5 reps was cardio. Now I run 5k's FOR FUN! Find that balance between aerobic and anaerobic workouts and get healthy. When you feel good, you'll be happier with your body than if you just look good. Also, abs are mostly made in the kitchen, but definitely requires some gym time. Healthy eating does more for you than you'll ever think. GL on reaching 99 strength my friends
Wow Alex. When I first started watching this video, I thought you got hacked or something. But as I continued to watch, I was left speechless with the amount of honesty and forthrightness you put forth. It was very vulnerable, and I applaud you for being so genuine and brave, sorry to hear about your father. My dad got cancer, diseases suck. Thank you for trying to help so many people, I think my few criticisms would be to go into a bit more detail like you did with some of your shots, for exanple explain a bit as to why someone would 'train till failure' and what that would look like to a complete gym nooblet. Explain that they should probably rest a bit between sets, especially when they're just starting. I like the bicep curls exanple you did a lot, very through and well documented with video, looking forward to future videos on your new channel further detailing your diet, myprotein explanations and exercise tutorials.
Thank you and sorry to hear about your Father also. The trouble was, there was soooo much to include. This was just a brief guide. If I went into every detail it'd be hours long. I'll share all the tips and info along the way on the 2nd channel
@@TorvestaRS Fair enough lad. Basically all of your videos have been bangers, so I'm more than excited to be on the ride. Thanks for responding, and keep up the great work
As a gamer who was very unhealthy this is an awesome video. My life used to be like how you described yours was, I wanted to come home and game. I'm about a year into getting in shape with lifting and cardio and I went from 5'10" 210lbs to about 170 and fairly muscular and I plan on continuing the grind for life as it is part of my routine now. Love this content and am very happy for you. Keep it up torv.
Torvesta, my mother was diagnosed with the same condition back in December. I know exactly what you are going through... stay strong my brother and thank you for the insight on this side of your life.
My only critique from personal observations is try to be self motivated and don't rely on a workout partner too much. I've seen and talked to plenty people who take really long breaks or completely quit because their workout partner got busy and couldn't make it to gym. The most consistent are usually those with self motivation who can workout alone or those with many partners, almost a small group. Everything else is spot on. We all started from somewhere. DAY ONE> one day. Love to see it. DO NOT LET A DOCTOR SEND YOU TO THE GYM. Go now if you can! Personally I need to start cutting soon but I'm worried that I loose some gains but it is a must so lets see how that goes hah. PS. Gratz on 99 str =D
A Torvesta video where he doesn't die for big risk. Possibly just as big of an achievement as the content in this video Proud of your progress, Alex! Keep it up
Im absolutely a quitter. Ive seen this video a few times and it gives me a spurt of inspiration but I still end up quitting. I dont know why but I want to try and make a goal. Idk what it would be. I just know I need someone to hold me accountable. Torvesta you are a legend. Thank you
It doesn’t have to be a specific goal. I’d think of a deep motivation. For example; being fit and healthy for your kid and family. For me like I mentioned, I don’t want to live life with regrets. And I know if I didn’t push my body I’d live with regrets. So much to achieve. Dig deep, what’s your reason for wanting to better yourself. Best of luck
Torvesta, I went through a similar journey. Was pretty small, got up to 200lbs and was lifting super heavy but felt terrible. I'm now down to a lean 177lbs and never felt better. Life's all about balance.
Alex you are spot on, on literally everything in this video. Every single piece of advice you've given is solid, sound and worth listening to and that's coming from someone that has lost over 110lbs and been in the gym consistently for about 7 years as well, alongside studying to become a dietitian. I've enjoyed your videos for many years now, but this is one, if not the best one thus far. Many of us are in our 20s and 30s, which is exactky when taking care of your health starts becoming important to prevent all kinds of ailments later on in life and this video is an amazing motivator to anyone doubting whether to start or not. THIS is the positive masculinity the world needs more of. Well done man, I'm genuinely proud of you. ❤
Tracking macros I found super useful. Similar to you, I trained inconsistently for years. Once I started tracking macros I gained like 15lbs muscle when I had been 160lbs ish for like 6 years. Great video bro thanks for posting!
I would support this type of content from you just as much as osrs content.. vid was entertaining and kept me watching I think majority of others would agree as well.
Just got a new job in the banking industry. I've been saying i need to get in shape because I'm unhealthily skinny due to gaming all day not eating with no job....but this is the kick in the ass i needed to get going. New company has a wellness program with personal training, im forsure signing up, as ive been following your rs career for the last 5-6 years lol. Thanks man
Im at stage 1 right now. 6' 130lb. Never eat right, never sleep right. This is exactly what i needed to see today. Thank you for sharing your story and giving people like me the motivation to start!
The vid finally came out and it’s when I’m one month into my own journey. Very inspirational and motivating to see your consistency and progress and education about it all. Thank you for the extra fuel to my fire!!!!!
omg first let me say awesome video, and second i lost my dad bout a year ago in 2 weeks and he wasn't able to speak the last 4 months. Just wanted to give the advice of saying everything off your chest when you can and time will go fast no matter what, with that being sad been a huge fan since day 1 [on a diff account rn] but wishing you the best entirely brother and very inspiring
I don't think I've ever commented on one of your videos but I just wanted to say, I'm glad you've made so much progress and are proud of where you are now! I had a very similar experience except World of Warcraft was my game of choice. Now I've got the body that I was dreaming of and nothing has made me prouder than realizing how far I've come.
So happy for you Alex, you're a great guy I want to encourage everyone, stayed consistent, stay disciplined in whatever you do in life and good things will eventually come. It's like a good runescape grind but in real life
My mind is blown. I let myself become overweight over the last four years. Started a business at the beginning of 2020 (3 weeks before Covid hit UK). Then had a baby 6 months later. Drank too much during Covid and it became a habit. Went from 70kg in 2020 to 91kg today (5”8). I ran 5km every day for a year back in 2018/19 to raise money for my grandad in relation to lung cancer. 10 years since his passing this September and I’ve organised a charity marathon to get back in shape (September 14th) - just started training. I became chairman of my local Round Table charity on Tuesday this week and in my speech I said I only ask one thing of you all: Do what you say you are going to do. Your video has triggered something in me. My “why” is about me living well and feeling good for my little girl. I want to go swimming with her and not worry about taking my top off. Good luck on the marathon mate. Subbed to your other channel. Thoughts are with your Dad and family. Hero.
Before I say a bunch of shit, I just wana say this is cool you've gone on your own personal journey over the years. I've been a fan watching you on and off as long as I can even remember honestly. Back before 2010-15~ though, who was actually considering health and what youre eating, especially if you aren't in that world/space? No one before the age of say 18-21 who plays video games etc, all day long (or even older but especially up until around that age) is very conscious of their health or what they're eating. I've just turnt 30 and I still struggle with addiction/impulse control especially with discipline and the important things that I probably should/should not be doing day to day/week to week in life. Its hard, life is difficult sometimes, and it can be hard to get over your bullshit. But the thing is the only way you do get somewhere is through trying. Even if it is literally small amounts each week, its consistent and you can find something that you enjoy (especially in terms of exercise, theres plenty of things out there to do/try; like you said, it doesnt need to be the gym). I did BJJ for almost 5 years until covid happened, but due to covid and a previous injury, I decided it was best to not carry on with BJJ. It took me 3+ years again to decide to replace it with climbing, which has helped tremendously with just having something to do, try hard with and improve at; even if the increase in skill and strength etc is minimal. So I think a lot people need to always hear that consistency and finding something you like are probably the two most important things. Because if you enjoy it you will keep on wanting to show up. Well done for getting where you are mate, you look sick and I hope I can try to use some of this for my own drive as well :).
As someone who suffers with Asthma and is currently going through the gym process to improve my breathing this really touched me. Such an inspiration - wish you all the best.
Amazing to see your progress and hear your story. Love the level headed and honest section about being natty as well. Definitely natty attainable, especially when you factor in 7 years of exercise and the amount of bulking you did in combination with being your length. Talking about taking it serious, making the most of your time and potential. Personally I got into the gym cause I got extremely fat during covid. 186cm and ~135kg. Managed to lose around 30kg in a year by doing strength training and counting calories for a couple months. Now I'm at a plateau and life got in the way, it's tempting to lose sight of how far I've come. Dedication and patience is the way to go, do what works for you! For me, I want to bench press 140kg and then set new goals, probably something with pull ups. At least I feel healthy and happy :)
Thank you & you gotta learn to enjoy the process for sure or you'll never be happy and satisfied. And yeah for sure, find what makes it the most enjoyable. Best of luck

Legend thank you!
I have watched your vids for nearly a decade and honestly you have inspired me so much with this one. I'm on the opposite side of the scale, on a journey to lose 100 lbs. Thanks for making this video, it was very motivating!
Thank you for supporting so long. You got this, go get it.
Proud of you bro 👊👊
GL ON YOUR JOURNEY TO KEEPING FIT AND PRAYERS FOR YOUR DAD..GREAT VID AND LOVED THAT U SHOWED US THIS! MUCH LOVE FROM YA BOY MR.VIRAL! FROM SAGINAW MICHIGAN 989! 4/29/24

B0aty with the £1000 donation. What a guy.
And much respect, Torvesta. Keep up the great work man. Been watching your videos forever.
1K donation won’t effect him. Million pound contact on kick

@@castlewarstiny6675 He still shows his support by donating to the cause. Also B0aty has donated a lot of money to different charities. There's a video about it if you're interested
@@castlewarstiny6675 its a nice gesture. has nothing to do with the amount.
@@castlewarstiny6675So you’re saying you’d deny $1m from Jeff bezos, since it’d be nothing to him? You’re an actual buffoon.
I don't really partake in RuneScape content anymore but I'm glad I saw this video. Thank you! It motivated me and I want to get back into exercising and having a routine. Congratulations on hitting your goal and never giving up
Amazing to hear. Thank you
That slick jab at skillspecs in the video had me rolling LMFAO.
Inspiring stuff, brother! ♥️ Looking great!
Wow bro! What a motivation you are. I started skinny too and I'm about 1 year into my journey now. Appreciate this to help me keep going!
Edit: Started at 6'0", 138lbs. Now about 160lbs.
Best of luck, keep it going
@@TorvestaRS
Get to it my friend! Nothing can stop you!
Best of luck on the journey
You aint serious or you wouldnt wait til tomorrow and would have went right then and there! This like the addict that says theyll quit tomorrow, or one last high.
finally got around to watching this through, fair play mate, glad to see you're in a good place

Sick dude, I don't have time to watch the video right now since I'm at a bar, but I love this for you my man ❤
Thank you
Started the Gym 3 weeks ago, already starting to feel better about myself. Good work bro 👍
Sick, keep it going. Thank you
Are you on any strength potions 👀
Of course
Fair play bigman well done for staying natty, You're looking good & congratulations on the marathon!
Thank you very much
Torvesta really went ahead and got 99 strength irl
Ive always been doing OSRS and gym combo. Its a bit less xp ingame but more irl xp overall. KEEP IT UP AMAZING VID❤
Appreciate it! Glad I can help
Hearing this encouragement from you means a lot, I really appreciate it.
hahaha cheeky asf @6:09 ahahaha
bro this is huge motivation, im at the other end of the spectrum, 130kg at the end of last year, now im 115kg but loads of muscle on. beast for putting this out there bro good on you
Thank you, best of luck on your journey
Thank you ❤
HELL yea. I remember you telling me you were planning on releasing this.
All hail the church of iron.
Yessssirr, it's finally here
Hey torv, I was in a really horrible headspace today after some bad medical news yesterday. This video inspired me not to give up, and understand it will be a long slow process, but I WILL heal. Thank you for sharing your journey, huge inspiration
Good to hear. Stay strong ❤
Good look 💯
Yeah, cutting definitely isn't easy. Tyvm!
tbh i started whatching this video with regret of what could be coming, but after the developing of the video, you running a full marathon, your dad problems, damn... its completly blowed my mind, and even inspired me to have a healthier life.. youre far away from beign just another youtuber, youre inspiration for many people, youre big torvesta.
Such a real person, grew up watching you and I’m beyond impressed!
Thank you my brethren!
Amazing physique.
Torvesta, my mother was diagnosed with the same condition back in December. I know exactly what you are going through... stay strong my brother and thank you for the insight on this side of your life.
What a BEAST!! Gratz on the IRL 99 STR!!! @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Really good point
A Torvesta video where he doesn't die for big risk. Possibly just as big of an achievement as the content in this video
Proud of your progress, Alex! Keep it up
Im absolutely a quitter.
Torv, you've been a pillar of the community for years. No matter what you dealing with, as much as we can, we are here for you king
Thank you very much
Tracking macros I found super useful.
Thanks man
Absolute madlad. Good work. People need to hear this stuff. BIG UP.
Thank you
Im at stage 1 right now. 6' 130lb. Never eat right, never sleep right. This is exactly what i needed to see today. Thank you for sharing your story and giving people like me the motivation to start!
Thank you. You can do this
The vid finally came out and it’s when I’m one month into my own journey. Very inspirational and motivating to see your consistency and progress and education about it all. Thank you for the extra fuel to my fire!!!!!
Good to hear, keep it going I believe
omg first let me say awesome video, and second i lost my dad bout a year ago in 2 weeks and he wasn't able to speak the last 4 months.
It's also great to see a gaming influencer post this so this type of material :)
So happy for you Alex, you're a great guy
I want to encourage everyone, stayed consistent, stay disciplined in whatever you do in life and good things will eventually come.
Hero.
Renaissance periodizations is also a fantastic resource but all great youtubers. Go hard bud!
100% about finding something you're passionate about, something you will sustain. Thank you very much and best of luck
I looked at the picture and thought a random workout video was on my feed. Then eventually read the name and was like oh shit its torvesta lmfao
7 year progress is realistic with what you’ve achieved. Should prove consistency triumphs all. Well done sir
'if you can look after your physical health you're in a way better place to improve your mental health'
can't be more true. Huge love Torvesta .
Best of luck
respect brother, just recently got off every drugs have dabbled in drugs for 12 years im 29yo started training 3 years ago 71kg when i started soon as i got off the drugs shot up 89kgs will defiantly be following
