- We are so pleased to announce Ichika Nito becoming an Ibanez signature artist, and proudly introduce his signature model ICHI10.
In this video Ichika talks about relationship with Ibanez and his signature guitar project.
Internet sensation and renowned Guitarist Ichika Nito, gained his global following and reputation through a unique combination of complex techniques and an easily identifiable signature sound. He captivates music fans and musicians alike with his unconventional, experimental style and a wholly original musical approach, through which he has become a favorite player and a major influence to players around the world.
Of all the options available to him, Ichika chose the headless Q (Quest) series from Ibanez on which to base his new signature model. This guitar largely holds to the specifications and design of the Q54, with a few notable changes. Ichika’s guitar features three Ibanez proprietary R1 single coil pickups rather than the standard HSS configuration. This setup helps accentuate Ichika’s emphasis on tonal clarity as well as bright, glassy sounds to help balance the highly rhythmic and percussive elements to his playing. Ichika’s exciting and original signature design, capitalizes on original hardware and pickup designs from Ibanez and will serve as an indispensable asset in expressing his ever-evolving musical style.

Yeah it's kinda weird that Ibanez has never had a Japanese signature artist before Ichika despite being a Japanese company and being one of the biggest guitar companies.

It's incredible how extremely humble he is.. I've seen a lot of very talented Japanese guitar players but in my opinion Ichika is definitely the right choice to become the first signature artist, he really deserves it.

I had never heard of this artist and I am now listening to his music on spotify. I think Ibanez made a good choice with Ichika Nito as his music is something I have not heard so far.

Wow, I am delighted that Ichika is the very first Japanese Signature Artist ever for Ibanez! His unique style on the guitar immediately catches my ear every time I hear him play, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of that honor. Sure, he has a virtuosic level of ability on the guitar, but the way he uses his complicated technique always adds more texture, color, and layers to his compositions. I never feel like I'm listening to a Guitar Center "Wank-Off" competition, and that is the sign of a true artist, in my opinion... Musical Taste... The ability to know when to sheath your sword and when to go in with guns full-blazing (sorry to mix analogies)! I'm looking forward to trying this signature guitar out one day. Keep up the great work, Ichika and Ibanez both! 👍🏼👍🏼

I am entranced by this young man's playing. I also find him refreshingly humble for a guitarist.
In the piece he performs for this guitar, when he plays the two chords 3 octaves apart the voicing is just soooo clear in both positions. You know this guitar is something special.

Ibanez couldn’t have had a better first Japanese signature artist and it makes the wait worth it, Ichika had to exist first before they could do it.

My personal take on this: Ibanez is very picky for selecting the signature artist from Japan. I think they have made a great move with this. They can be proud that, I think, no one else can mistook Ichika for someone else.

Yeah I have trouble looking for a pickguard for my 1986 Ibanez Roadstar II RB650 bass.
I already pre-ordered mine, first electric guitar I buy and play. Glad I got the chance to get in line for one, I found Ichika’s RUclips channel by mistake and to my luck I saw he was getting a signature guitar.
