    High school physics 1970's - teacher brings out radioactive source in lead lined box and stresses how dangerous it is - then uses Geiger counter to measure the radioactivity.
    I pass over an old watch I had been given - yep TEN TIMES more radioactive! Needless to say I stopped wearing it.
