Excellent suggestions! I went a step further on front LED's by installing lamps that do a three flash sequence. Only pulled over once and I was amused as the LEO searched local and state regs for saying flashing white lights are illegal. We had a pleasant chat and went on our way.
Thank God for frame sliders. I was in a pretty bad accident last week, broke my ankle and hand in a couple spots but, the frame sliders did their job. They saved my plastics almost 100 percent. Besides a broken windshield and broken shifter theres a couple scratches on the left side of the bike. All my bikes have them and always will.
As a third generation biker I was taught not to rely on people seeing me but to rely on the fact that they can’t see me and my years at high speeds have taught me that being seen only means more speeding tickets
I wish there was like a +15 mph speed exception for motorcycles. I don't like it when bikes are near me, I have to extra focus to see them. I'd rather them come up from nowhere then dissappear in the distance again. Safer for everyone I thinks.
The hearing protection one is no joke. I'm a career truck driver. My truck is MUCH quieter than any bike out there that's not battery powered, but my personal experience, as well as studies that have recently been published, has proven that PROLONGED EXPOSURE is WAAAY more dangerous than temporary, albeit much louder noises. Recent studies have shown that 97% of truck drivers lose 6% to 12% of their hearing, over the course of 5 years, and as much as 26% over ten. My ophthalmologist has put me at a 22% loss in my Right, and a 15% loss in my Left, after 16 years of driving. At this rate I'll need hearing aids before I hit 40. ...Food for thought.
Hi doubt you will see my message but id like to say thank you! I don't really have anyone who believes in me, they normally put me down and tell me in useless and unwanted, especially when I mentioned I wanted a bike they where super negative about it but only because it would take up room in the garage (one of them said "nah its ok he will come off and be in hospital so we wont have to deal with him") and it put me off the idea of owning one for years. After watching your vids its made me re fall in love with the idea of owning and riding a bike, normally since I have bad anxiety and depression I cant bring myself to even want to try new things this came as a shock to me that you actually inspired me again and no words or anything cant explain how grateful I am. So once again Thank you for doing what you do and being who you are!
I had a dent in my frame because of frame slider. Slider was very strong, i thought that would be a good thing. Sliders should be viewed as sacrificial to save rest of your bike and should be pretty weak compared to rest of your bike. It is also recommended to have hearing protection when you drive a convertible. I think you can actually hear more with hearing protection in (speaking to my passenger). I even started wearing them at concerts and is a real +++, I high recommend it. No beep in your ear afterwards and you can have a conversation without shouting in someones ear. It is incredible how much more you hear.
2:55 I've only been down once. Low speed low-side, the bike slid to the outside of the turn, hit the pea gravel, and did it's best 6-million dollar man opening sequence imitation. A zero cost low side turned into new clip-ons, cracked plastic, new hand controls, a new brake reservoir, and I missed the rest of my track day.
Interesting I mention hearing protection. This is something I just started doing before whatching this video. It helps and has made riding much more enjoyable. I notice that I can hear everything just as well or even better than before.
Something else worth mentioning; especially for new riders, get a loud horn. Ive said it before but if you're a 'euro bro' then chances are you're starting on a 125, not all of them can have a loud exhaust installed, or they can just with great difficulty. Denalli soundbomb is my choice, I have it on my 125 and frankly I will be getting it future bikes. Assume the worst of other drivers. If you're on a roundabout and see someone coming up too quick, give a honk, not to piss them off but more to say "Hey im here be careful".
I had someone almost try to pass me on a roundabout. I didn’t think that was a common problem. I was in the far left (hugging the corner) of the single lane and seen them coming up almost next to me. Next time I’m getting those vibes in that situation I’ll take your tip! And try to stay near the middle of the lane. 😅
I'm a big fan of engine cages (SW-Motech on my 919, Canyon Cage on my FJR1300) over frame sliders, but cages aren't really as practical, or even available for a lot of sport bikes. My SW-Motech did an admirable job along with soft bags protecting my 919 in an ~20mph slide on gravel.
Higher visibility from LEDs can be good, but keep in mind that bright lights can hamper other drivers' vision when they need to look at you. You can't be more visible if cars are averting their gaze from you.
Frame sliders saved my FJR back in December. Yeah the exhaust is scraped and the fairing got it's edges "rounded" but I was able to ride it home as the engine and frame were protected.

That means you're learning all the time and ,in turn, so is your audience. You're also an entertaining content creator in general. I primarily enjoy your, "It came from Craigslist" vids. While you‘re talking about frame sliders: If you‘re planning on getting some for the 07, check out the ones by SW Motech. They‘re designed in a way that they are less likely to break or cause highsiding. And they look less ugly than most alternatives, I have them in my MT07 and actually like the looks.

Here in the U.K (maybe other parts of Europe) you must be 24 years of age minimum before you can have a full motorcycle license. A full license is called an 'A1' this has no restrictions on engine capacity or horse power. At the age of 18 you can take, what is called an 'A2' test. This allows you to have a motorcycle that has a maximum of 46 horse power. If you take this 'A2' test at the age of 18 and hold it for more than 2 years (21 years of age) you can then take your full test (A1) and have a unrestricted license. This allows you to have a full license before the age of 24. Also, in the U.K you can take your C.B.T (compulsory basic training) at the age of 16 and you are allowed a 50cc motorbike, at the age of 17 you can have a 125cc motorbike. These are called a 'provisional license'. You must take a CBT test every 2 years regardless if you have taken it before. If you never progress through to a A1 or A2 license then you are required to take the CBT every 2 years. Hope this helps for your video on A2 bikes Yam!

I love having a m'bike, can't wait for the spring. Wish you all the best and hope you get sorted out with a m'bike, you won't regret it. Don't even need a big cc bike as some of the small bikes can be a hoot. If you start small you'll live longer, don't rush into getting a powerful bike too soon.

I have an odd novice gear question: How [potentially] important is it to wear motorcycle boots for the "style" of bike you are on? Does it actually matter if someone on a touring bike gets cruiser boots, versus someone on a sport bike getting touring boots for regular daily riding like the commute to work? Besides aesthetics, what is the difference?
I shot guns my whole life, worked construction projects since I was a kid and ran a DJ business for 8 years. The tinitus is no joke. It never stops. There are some great ear plugs at Guitar Center that are designed for DJs and musicians that let sound pass but block harmful frequencies.
You WILL get permanent buzzing in your ears in only one road trip... the trick is to watch the one minute video of some guy from south america, properly rolling up without creases his ear plugs, and then reaching over top his head, pulling up ear and fully inserting the rolled plug, then holding it pressed in for 10 seconds to let it stay in place. Wish I'd picked up on that sooner.

The Indian FTR1200 and Scout can be made into A2, and can be reset to be unlimited with just a software reflash. Something to consider when using frame sliders and a com-system (same for camera's): Frame slider can bend the frame (depending on the type of frame) when dropping it. Catching and flipping is still a reality on asphalt as it isn't perfectly smooth. When crashing with a com-system, if it catches on the ground, you'll snap your neck.

Eargasm earplugs are some of the best to get! Fills your holes nice and easy and you can still hear pretty clear for the most part
While you‘re talking about frame sliders: If you‘re planning on getting some for the 07, check out the ones by SW Motech. They‘re designed in a way that they are less likely to break or cause highsiding. And they look less ugly than most alternatives, I have them in my MT07 and actually like the looks.
5:17, converting your lights to LED or HID’s means an MOT advisory or a fail depending on the bike/beam pattern, rip.
I love how he is just shamelessly using other peoples youtube content in his videos. Got the balls to even use big channels like fortnine and revzilla. Class act
@Nombre Apellido fair use which means he can use up to 30 second clips just as long as he changes the content a big.
I always wanted to plug my holes . Thank you
I wear a completely reflective Red backpack all the time when I ride, the only problem is that the bulls here follow me all the time.
Good thing my bike is fast enough 😜
Ibrahim Mohsin lol you’d have to be on a moped to be caught by a bull
Ibrahim Mohsin your bike is a fast the only thing you need is supersonic turbobooster sliders then you'll be completely safe you won't even need it f****** helmet and that point but you will need earplugs
Finally a video from papa yam, life complete.
I think that we all agree that we don't like seeing Yammie's face :-)
Perran Normanshire A2 is at 19 years old. Got 11 months till I can do it still on a CBT bumming about on a 125😂
All hail Daddy Lube!!!
Yammie , you have the best motorcycle vids out here bro hands down
Make a video telling your opinion on 50cc sportbikes !!!
Jos tarkoitat Hondan ja muiden monisylinterisiä 50cc kilpavehkeitä, ne on sairaan upeita. Mopot? Niillä on huono maine, koska niiden kuskit on idiootteja.
@@Tuukkis esimerkiksi tiedätkö ja Yamaha tzr 50 ? Tai Aprilia RS4 50?
@@rotechsuomi5220 molemmat ovat mopoja, ei jatkoon.
RoTech Suomi they're perfect for you by one they a Vespa
I just noticed the purpose of his logo!!! If you can see your reflection on the screen, your head fits perfectly in the helmet!!! Lol that’s so cool!
I don't have a bike. After watching your videos, I want to.
Matija B make sure you go to the Suzuki dealer and buy a GSXR 1000 for your first bike you'll be amazed at the sound of the stereo system also may not know this but they can also be used as dirt bikes, snowmobiles, snowmobiles as jet skis. Just Google it the Crazy Russian stunt bastards
Your videos are golden man. So much work must go into them and they're always a laugh. Keep up the good work
I personally like u being in da videos papa yam, you should also do more singing intros👌🍠🍠
i love em ... especially "whos dat boi"
Ye same ‘whos that boo that you know you love’ that was my favourite intro so far
@@darked8874 mine is just plain old "whos dat boi ... is dat boi... who dat boi ... its dat boi"
Mrtz lol
Yeah... well...
The singing part can skip
I don’t know why I enjoy this random man talking about motorcycle on the internet
I'm 56, never shaved my ball's 🤔. Going to delight my wife with a new doo😀
I cornrow mine, add some beads.
I look magnificent in shorts.
“For the love of Rossi.. stroke it.” -Yammie
Lmao uhhhh yaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Bro, don't listen to the haters! Be in your own videos, it looks professional in my opinion.
I like this format better yam yam, thanks for bringing it back you wonderful sweet potato
I want back the green screen but with your shiny bald head super zoomed
I have an odd novice gear question: How [potentially] important is it to wear motorcycle boots for the "style" of bike you are on? Does it actually matter if someone on a touring bike gets cruiser boots, versus someone on a sport bike getting touring boots for regular daily riding like the commute to work? Besides aesthetics, what is the difference?
*Green screen os good. This "children" and "papa" thing is weird as hell though*
Yammie Noob let the blessings rain down from Papa Yammitrus
Papa Yammie give a blessing to a lost child!
Praise Papa Yammie!!
Daddy Pubes love for you is your greatest gift.
I shot guns my whole life, worked construction projects since I was a kid and ran a DJ business for 8 years. The tinitus is no joke. It never stops.
There are some great ear plugs at Guitar Center that are designed for DJs and musicians that let sound pass but block harmful frequencies.
i like greenscreen dont be racist bring greenscreen back
Awesome tips for a soon to be rider. Thx man
Been using earplug head phones for years. Works great, protects my ears and doesn't get uncomfortable in a helmet unlike other headphones I've worn.
I actually bought the manscapping gear. My gf won't stay away from my junk now. *Thank you!* And the razer names are funny
Awesome video once again
You WILL get permanent buzzing in your ears in only one road trip... the trick is to watch the one minute video of some guy from south america, properly rolling up without creases his ear plugs, and then reaching over top his head, pulling up ear and fully inserting the rolled plug, then holding it pressed in for 10 seconds to let it stay in place. Wish I'd picked up on that sooner.
I'm pretty sure I just saw you at Kroger. I think it was you. You were looking at onions and I was just standing there staring at you. Top 3 greatest moments of my life.
Noticed the subscriber growth looks pretty good, props Papa
You dont need a relay to stop hyperflash, you could use a load resistor, works just as well.
Yo yamster, your next vid should be on how to keep your motorcycle from getting stolen..
Ride safe keep braapppin!!!
Turrets
Bandit Ryder that's easy enough it's called get a f****** pistol
Keep up the good work , thanks Perro
Check, check.. and check. Even got myself some hole pluggers. Now.. take my Like, Daddy Yam! Take it all in.. i know you like it.
This is the most relaxing youtuber to listen to I like when he makes yami jokes
HAHAHAHA ANOTHER, "TURBO-BUSA". RIGHT OFF THE BAT! LOVE IT!!
Your vids are great, with or without you in them. Be in them, if you want... Is all gewd.
Creative as usual yammie
100% prefer the green screen. You get to see the funny expressions, it feels more "personal", etc. Maybe do some green screen, some old format? Or make pop up video type appearances with the green screen?
Hearing protection Hack;
Swimming ear plugs.
They work and fit really well.
Drug stores.
Bring back the beauty that is Yammie! I can barely survive without my daily eye blessing that is the one and only in front of the green screen!!!
Not motorcycle related, but I really like how you play classical music in the background
The Indian FTR1200 and Scout can be made into A2, and can be reset to be unlimited with just a software reflash.
Something to consider when using frame sliders and a com-system (same for camera's):
Frame slider can bend the frame (depending on the type of frame) when dropping it. Catching and flipping is still a reality on asphalt as it isn't perfectly smooth.
When crashing with a com-system, if it catches on the ground, you'll snap your neck.
congratulations ball shavers *begins slow clap* one thing i hate is that alot of people hate yammy idk why
I personally like this format. Great videos!
I really like the green screen. It just took a little to get used to. Also, you do you man. People will adjust and you'll enhoy it more.
Thanks for sharing this valuable information!👍🏼👍🏼
Tks... just subscribed 👌🏻.. just bought a 2013 kawasaki ninja 650r, would you advise me on safety Accesories like the sliders, com devise, led Lights ant anything you may think of to upgrade it... like moder rear view mirrors and engine led color lights.. 😅😅, my apologies in advance for "The list"..., God bless You.
