So this video is unlike anything we've ever really done before, but it was one I felt like I needed to make. We're talking about what it's like losing someone to cancer, specifically pancreatic cancer. The first half is my story of watching my granddad die from pancreatic cancer. The second half is what you can do for someone grieving or things you should know if you're going through this. Skip to 35:00 for that.
Grief is messy. This video is messy. It's real, raw, and honest and I hope you get something out of it.

Hi I lost my father to pancreatic cancer on 24 May 2021 about 3 months after he was diagnosed. Ive been watching videos about other people sharing their experiences of losing someone to either the same cancer or other cancers. Its comforting yet sad knowing that there are people out there who share similar feelings and thoughts to me. Especially knowing that Im not able to vocalize all of that to other people just yet. Thank you for sharing your story. Also, I too found myself watching "The Office" after my father passed away. I couldn't understand how I could actually be enjoying the show until you mentioned it.
I am so so sorry for your loss, Amelia! Be kind to yourself during this time. Be patient, and let yourself feel all of these feelings for as long as you need. I just watched some of Michael Landon's interviews. And it is an anniversary of Patrick Swayze passing. Both men, dx with pc and both died shortly after dx. Tragically sad and I was upset by both their deaths. I cant imagine how I'd feel by someone i personally knew getting dx pc.
