- A container ship has rammed into a major bridge in Baltimore, causing it to snap and plunge into the river below. It was also not clear what caused the cargo ship to crash into the Francis Scott Key Bridge long before the busy morning commute in what one official called a “developing mass casualty event”

I really like the dude giving the press conference. Concerned about lives lost, not money.
Prayers for all those lost in this catastrophe ... so sad
How do these ships that weigh thousands of tons and are so critical, not have emergency systems to help them stop
well slambino, how do you propose we stop a thousand ton boat, on water, in a reasonable time frame?
The power system that they had failed
@@godlesspothead6258tug boats escorting ships thru ports with such bridges. Standard in a lot of ports to keep this kind of thing from happening

It’s called redundancy and is why modern jets haven’t crashed in the US in years

😢 R.I.P.
why start the video here. why not show the ship loosing power for 10 seconds, and turning directly into the bridge?
Right where's the footage of before it got hit
Why does it look like the bridge fell before the ship hit it?
@@BluDrop5because the ship doesn’t stop immediately
Shhhhhhhhhh that's not the Narrative
So I'm the only one asking why the emergency anchors was not deployed from the boat because you don't need power to use those. That boat turned perfectly to hit the bridge on the perfect spot that don't look like and accident out of all the places it could have hit perfectly in the middle support column yea right
What happened to those cars that were on top of the bridge? Did the people survive?
Those cars belong to repair crew. 8 people went into the water. 2 were rescued. 6 remain missing, presumed dead
Imagine being a news station and not mixing audio in stereo
This is such of a horrible tragedy.
How were "officials" there so FAST to close the bridge to traffic? I really can't wrap my head around that one... Are they on stand-by?
They already had part of the road closed for construction. One would assume that the job would have a police detail already, as most road projects do
The ship sent out a Mayday call, Police stopped traffic when the report was sent to them. Its not that hard.
@@ArnulfoSalgado Ok! Makes sense... thanks.
Imagine what would have happened if the construction workers would not had been on the bridge and no cops sitting at the ends...
All the traffic both ways would had gone down with it. Not enough time for cops to show up after the mayday call.
So, in essence the 6 construction workers who lost their lives actually saved dozens of commuters' lives. If it would had been during rush hour, then potentially hundreds of commuters.... Oh, the terror... 😱
@@Ironfurnaceroom Actually, you're the smart-thinking one here! It doesn't make sense and we're not being given all of the information for a reason! Please remember when someone uses the term "assume" they are not going by facts. I live in the area and am a Navy Vet, this is nothing short of an attack. I'll send you a video later that will help you understand that this is not what it seems.
Exactly
This is setup to happen to mess the port up
But hey, at least they get to collect the insurance, right? I bet they already have the blueprints for the new bridge.
Sort of like they had a vaccine ready for covid 19. . . same sort of deal. It's a fool us once shame on you, fool us twice, shame on us thing... But they keep on keepin on... after all, what are we gonna do about it, hey?

I see explosions 6 seconds into the video on the right side.

WATCH THIS CLOSELY at .04 seconds !! LOOK AT THE FIRE BALLS ABOVE AND BELOW THE SERVICE TRUCKS AT THE CONNECTION JOINTS ! THIS WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT !!
I think you’re on to something here buddy!! I saw a ufo drop of a lizard person on the other end of the bridge earlier but he morphed into Queen Elizabeth than ran off towards the White House
You saw the charges too
Could be power lines being severed as the bridge collapsed

How did the prince hall freemasons retaliate to this attack?
A lot of these comments are so dumb.
What were the orange/red flashes like fireworks and molten sparks at all the breaking points along the entire length of bridge? Amazing how people see what they want to believe which is usually what their authority tells them. In architectural technology in college we designed countless bridge structures to test in lab and the reaction of the Key bridge from the boat just doesn’t make logical sense to me as bridges have multiple fail safes built in, to not just totally fail in the way that was shown on this video. This is just another very clear example of what has been going on but historically more in the dark. All the world is a stage!
there’s a light at the very top of the bridge, which is where you can see one of the sparks. also, most of the sparks were in areas where the supporting material bend downwards (V), which could’ve forced positive and negative ends of a cable to touch and spark.
You realize electrical cables ran through this bridge right? Are you that stupid? Yes there are bridges with failsafes. But a lot of old bridges weren’t built with those failsafes. This bridge also had no pier protection and was partially a cable sustained bridge. That’s very delicate to an impact from a 400,000+ pound loaded container ship.
That would be the high tension wires that power the bridge lights, provide power for maintenance crews all along the bridge and serve electricity from one side of the bridge to the neighborhood on the other side. If you've ever seen a telephone pole get hit by a drunk and come down you'd recognize it.
Use common sense. If the bridge would have been compromised with bombs like the World Trade Center was, then the explosions would have happened before the bridge started falling, like it did on 9/11.
But here, I can only see explosions after the bridge started moving. That's the result of power cables popping.
If you pay close attention, the fireballs happened after the bridge sections started severing, not before.
Those are lights from the ship, the bridge, and the cranes in the background. 💀

They were deployed. Seriously do your research. The boat lost power way too close to the bridge for them to do anything. The anchors need time to stop a boat with that much momentum. They don’t just stop it in its tracks the second they hit the bottom of the channel.
God have mercy😢
No, let’s talk about it all… now and often. Because evil & good men doing nothing alike until history repeats itself bet on short memories and deflections!! Adult it and multitask to maintain transparency & accountability.
History’s still not concluded on alot, like what truly broke those levees in 05… or who?

With all due respect to everyone involved with this bridge, now or in the past, this was an unacceptably flimsy structure. Shame!
appears there was nothing holding the front and back of the bridge, seems like the bridge was just laying on the ground using its weight to hold it in place... no anchors?
Guys you do understand what a suspension bridge is right? It has 2 support pillars on either side and a long span between them. A famous example being the Golden Gate Bridge.
Now picture this, you remove one of those 2 pillars. Of course the bridge is going to fall. It relies on those pillars for support. If you remove one the other is useless because gravity pushes the side with no pillar down and lifting the side with the pillar. Crumpling the structure.
It’s not flimsy, it just wasn’t designed for a several ton cargo ship to hit one of the pillars. Also there’s really no way to make a bridge withstand that anyway.
This argument is honestly really dumb. Because then you could argue that the twin towers were flimsy because they didn’t survive getting hit by 2 airplanes.
الشبوكي ريب الحفلة
What does that mean?
You can see the explosions on the top part of the bridge on both sides of the bridge just as it before it comes down who are they trying to get that wasn't just an accident
There’s power cables going across the bridge for its lights and etc. When lines snap violent power arching can occur, the electrical power released often looks like an explosion.
What's it like being an idiot of your caliber?
Use common sense. If the bridge would have been compromised with bombs like the World Trade Center was, then the explosions would have happened before the bridge started falling, like it did on 9/11.

balt's 'mayor,' looking like a batboy for a AAA baseball club, asked immediately that the media stop showing videos of the crash. the reason being the more you see the video, the more you see this was no accident.

Spoken like a true dumbfuck 😂😂
"and thats the only thing we should be talking about" I respect what he's trying to say, but do not tell me what I should or should not be talking about sir.
After reading the enlightening statements about how people are seeing that it looks more like sabotage than an accident, gotta wonder if the man was told to say that so intensely... Noble thought, yes, but really, there are a number of important things needing discussing here...
@@Ironfurnaceroom why are we still waiting on black box data... the things a computer, can't they pull some basic information off it that coudl help.
@@xKevmachinex mhmm!!!
@@Ironfurnaceroom nevermind according to redacted just now, the black box is mysteriously missing 2 minutes of data. guess its one of those black boxes that is powered directly by the ship so if the ship loses power so does the black box.
