Any options for when there is no availability and the purchase order hasn't been created yet? Like for example, I have sales order number 1 for 50 units, and sales order number 2 for 75 units.. If later we create a purchase order for 100 units, system must automatically reserve 50 for order number 1 and 50 for order number 2.

If the purchase order comes after the sales orders, then you would need to run a routine to reserve the inventory (typically a customization).

How would one create item reservations from the purchase or transfer orders when a sales order is not available at the time? Example: Customer A will likely purchase 100 sets from Purchase Order 1, but will not issue a purchase request until item has arrived at seller's warehouse 2 months later.

      Hi @remmit_411,
You cannot reserve the inbound inventory against a "Customer", it must be against a transaction for the Customer. For example, you would have to create a Sales Order for the customer, then make the reservation against the inbound Purchase Order/Transfer Order and wait to post said Sales Order until the purchase request has been made.
Note: Shipment Date of Sales Order must be AFTER the Expected Receipt Date of the Purchase Order/Transfer Order
