Me and my fiance drove all the way from Maryland (USA) to Toronto last year JUST TO RIDE THE YS. We had a blast and the Canadian people were so awesome. 💙💪
Yeah that part is kinda scary but your absolutely fine because this coaster has harnesses to keep you safe and once you ride it I think you'll like it because the beginning might be scary but it does look pretty awesome
I went in early May of 2019, and I rode Yukon Striker 6 times that day :) It was dead, and I only waited maybe like 5 to 10 min each time I did, and it only went down once, with it being opened back up in like 20 minutes :) It's such an amazing ride, and I'm glad I have this B&M dive coaster at my home park, because I haven't ridden a B&M dive coaster before. And I'm an enthusiast who loves B&M coasters a lottt. And this is definitely a good one :) Really forceful, especially with that loop, and that second immelmann, and it's super fast (until you hit the midcourse of course). I didn't mind the vests either. Yes, they were a little tight, but I still got fantastic airtime on both drops, and on the zero-g winder, and it was amazing. And that first 245 ft. drop is just amazing, especially in the back, and going up the lift was amazing. SUPER STEEP. The freefall is just blessed. B&M, I think you guys made your best dive coaster to date, by far. And last funny thing, I was just impressed at how big the track was when you're on that train. :D
It's because ever since skyrider was taken down they didn't know what ride would replace it but then they decided to build a dive coaster and it is perfect to get over your fear of heights
Wow this ride is in Canada. I hope Florida gets this ride. It looks super awesome. I love riding Sheikra at Busch Gardens Tampa but this ride looks amazing.
I went on this on September 1st, 2021 I remember the feeling of going down 😅 i'm going back to Canada's Wonderland on October 16th, 2022. excited to ride this again! 😊
I love the color scheme of the ride with all the colorful trees. It fits right in... also I thought this footage would be horrible and all shaky but apart from the audio (the audio is kinda bad because of the speed of the ride) the footage is awesome
Even better now with the interaction with Tundra Twister! You get to wave at each other when things are timed right. :-) So far, maintaining my average of 100 rides/year. 92 this year to pushed me to 404 total.
This has more loops and a better layout than most of its competition in general (sheikra, Griffyn, Valravn) but the stop on that last hill was just dumb and unnecessary
@@canadianbacon1726 I understand how they work, been a rider/fan my whole life and my GF's father has designed entire parks, in this particular case though they could've had the pause sooner (ex:sheikra & griffyn) and had a 2nd hill dive that actually had some height to it and accommodated the ability to run 3 trains, where it is on the course is when the momentum is almost done anyways and the last hill after the pause is about the height you'd see on a kiddie ride or carnival coaster built out of a trailer.
I'm finding it funny that people think the B&M dive coaster models are a new model. In fact it's not. The Dive Coaster has been around maybe now over a little 20 years. The only one that was in existence was at Alton Towers.
@@itshk9427 it's really not that bad yes the beginning where you hang on the drop then go down is scary but it does look fun and it's a very smooth coaster some people think flight deck is rough
@@itshk9427 yes bro im 11 and i went on it, it was scary at first, then it became so fun, 10/10, the seat and seatbelts are comfortable and it feels like ur not gonna fall off, and u dont feel that ur in the loop. The ride looks scary but is fun as hell ride it. also insanely smooth
I wish the other dive coasters were like this. The only downside with this ride is the midcourse. I’d really rather the ride just end there. Hopefully with the emergence of these mini dive coasters we’ll see some more creative layouts.
The layout of the seating changes everything! I haven't ridden this but I assume the seats furthest to the edges are the best rides? I hope I can ride it someday.
Only B&M the park has with inversions. Fabulous view from the top, and good visual appeal. Only ride at Wonderland I haven't been on yet, because I didn't go last year.
Hey I have a question, how did you film the on ride POVs? I know on ride filming is strictly prohibited with GoPros and all that stuff at Canada’s Wonderland, but I like making videos of that stuff too, and I was just wondering, what type of accessories did you use to film on the rides? Cause last time I was there, they didn’t allow me to film on the rides.
0:10 If I worked for a launched coaster I’d torment people all the time like the ride ops did for me, I’d say “alright guys I have a couple rules for you, number one keel your and and arms inside the car at all time rule number tw-“ and then launches it “
While the overall design of dive coasters is generally cool, the concept of them is dumb, imo. I’ve only been on Valravyn, and I don’t think that it did a damn thing to heighten the intensity, even with our being in the front seat.
Ben Elliott I didn’t say that I don’t enjoy them, but that the dive aspect, to me, is little more than a gimmick. When I was on Valrayvn twice last year, neither me nor my friends thought that it really added to the ride experience anymore than if we just plummeted over the edge without the needless pause. Maybe I’m wrong, but I haven’t really noticed a slew of new dive coasters coming out.
Ride looks great but its the same layout including the start and the paused 90 degree drop of the coaster named griffon in busch gardens williamsburg that opened in 2007
Once you have kids for the next fifteen years it is all about kid or baby stuff. It's important to remember that this kind of stuff still exists to make you feel alive.
okay, what is going on!? I'm watching roller coaster vids and how come on the ride the drop looks lower but off the ride when I see the ride it looks sooooo high!
when you hear the speaking guy behind the control table making jokes, he is born for this work. Those are the keepers we need.
Devine HQ similar to the ones who control wild eagle at Dollywood. Makes the rides more enjoyable to go on for sure!

The ride operator on the "Big Shot" in Las Vegas would give you a countdown from ten and hit the launch button at three. Funny af.

riding the Yukon at night was the right choice in my opinion and i rode it during the haunt then after we went through corn stalkers and spirit manner
That operator is clearing having fun with his job
Went on this ride with my family in 2019 and it was awesome! I was 56 then. Wish it was around when I was younger!
This has to be my favorite ride along with Leviathan and Behemoth, Canada's Wonderland is so much fun:).
That first drop is insane , great video 👍
I have ridden on this and going up and leaning over the edge was so scary I thought I was gonna die like I had a mental panic attack

The rides aren't the scariest thing at theme parks, the food is. Have you seen their kitchens?
Ik. In the U.K. it’s like £9.95 for like one bit of chicken
Samething In Canada it’s pretty much $20 for a foot long sub compared to the $ 9 usual
I'm not old enough to see their kitchens yet
@@magicgirl2831 Then again if you're buying theme park food you're either crazy or rich, just bring a cooler with food and get a handstamp.
I went in the exact same position as this POV. Lucky single riders lane blessed me after 2 hours of waiting plus 20 min delay. Tottally worth it!
