heyy thanks i m now using RR rom n plsss using this method follow all the steps carefully. also do not remove phone from computer after flashing. when u r in custom recovery then u can disconnect it. my phone is locked when i removed usb cable. my phone is bricked. but using twrp re flashing using this same method it will works and u can install custom roms

After installing Xiaomi flash tool as soon as I click on the next file (where you said red light something , the edl method) my device restart And yet I tried to do it anyway but I got error ... You don't have all file except storage. Something file....
the edl part can be skipped... about the you dont have certain file error, u need to rename one of the 3 bat filed to the one which the error says is missing... for eg if it sayd flash all except storage file is missing then rename the bat file with similar name to this exact name.. and it will be done...u can ask in my telegram discussion group

I tried exactly what you said.. Twrp got installed and i could boot into twrp. But, the device is still locked. I tried to install custom rom from twrp after taking a backup of the stable rom. It didn't install. I had to restore the backed up stable one.
Abhishek Pathak It didn't work for me. You can try your luck as it worked for others. I can't say that this method is not working just because it didn't work for me.. Always back up your current rom before flashing other rom.

it doesn't actually unlock the bootloader... it flashes recovery only but with that only u will be able to all the stuff which a person with unlocked bootloader can do... and for miui flashing, just delete the emmc file from miui rom zip file and flash it with this recovery followed by lazyflasher... no fastboot required

But when you check whether the bootloader is unlocked using adb command prompt and type fastboot oem device-info, it shows that the bootloader is still locked. So not a legit process of unlocking bootloader this way. I would suggest going for the official way.
ofcourse... but it doesn't ask u to wait for a week or so and still official unlocking doesn't work seamlessly for many.. still the choice is yours... you are the owner of your device...

My MIUI version is 8.2.3.0. I've applied your method perfectly except when I pressed power + volume up key it didn't enter TWRP. It shows MI logo an vibrate. HI Srijan, I succeeded in installing TWRP on the phone, however, when I check the MI Unlock status in developer options, it shows Device Locked. You suggested in one of your post to install Lazyflasher, however, the developer says it will work only with phones whose bootloader has been unlocked officially. will this be a problem? what does lazyflasher do? Hacker Srijan I notice a problem after a week's use with this method. The HDR mode in the stock camera has stopped working. Each time HDR mode is selected, the stock camera hangs and only restarting the phone provids the solution. The HDR works fine on Google camera though. And if Camera2 API is enabled then too the HDR mode hangs the stock camera and The HDR mode vanishes from Google camera. Please help.
Hacker Srijan I didn't try any custom ROM because I don't know which one works best. Many different roms have mixed reviews by different users. Can you suggest anything please four better camera results?
Hacker Srijan thought so. MiUi gives the best camera output hence I didn't switch. The reason I rooted was to get into Build.prop and enable Camera2 API. But that is giving the troubles as stated above. Hope someone finds a solution for it. 😀 Thanks for your Assistance Srijan.

I facing lot of issues after flashing with this version. Phone loosing Network signal quite often . Cannot charge phone by connecting it to ant laptop as it takes it as debugger mode even if I disable developer option.

My MIUI version is 8.2.3.0. I've applied your method perfectly except when I pressed power + volume up key it didn't enter TWRP. It shows MI logo an vibrate. I've pressed long enough to see what happen next but when I stop pressing power and volume up key it boot up normally to stock rom. Do you have any solution of this. Thanks in advance.

HI Srijan, I succeeded in installing TWRP on the phone, however, when I check the MI Unlock status in developer options, it shows Device Locked. You suggested in one of your post to install Lazyflasher, however, the developer says it will work only with phones whose bootloader has been unlocked officially. will this be a problem?

Hacker Srijan I notice a problem after a week's use with this method. The HDR mode in the stock camera has stopped working.
Each time HDR mode is selected, the stock camera hangs and only restarting the phone provids the solution.
The HDR works fine on Google camera though.
And if Camera2 API is enabled then too the HDR mode hangs the stock camera
and
The HDR mode vanishes from Google camera.
Please help.
Hacker Srijan I didn't try any custom ROM because I don't know which one works best. Many different roms have mixed reviews by different users. Can you suggest anything please four better camera results?
Hacker Srijan thought so. MiUi gives the best camera output hence I didn't switch. The reason I rooted was to get into Build.prop and enable Camera2 API.
But that is giving the troubles as stated above.
Hope someone finds a solution for it. 😀

Hi Srijan, quick question. I see that there is an update available (MIUI V8.5.6) for my phone, I download it and then hit reboot to apply, but the phone is just rebooting normally without updating. Is there a different way I should be updating phone on ZCX TWRP?

When in this process was the bootloader unlocked?
This method doesn"t unlock bootloader this method just flashes the TWRP in edl mode. The bootloader still remains locked.
But when I see the device info in adb shell it says "Device unlocked: false"
Will it unlock if i unlocked the bootloader first and then follow the procedure

bro, stuck with a big problem. as u know i was successful in installing this method.later i installed Lineage os(14.1). today i wanted to install nitrogen os so i first wiped everything then advance wiped system,cache,dalvic etc then flashed miui firmware followed by nitrogen project then gaaps then reboot to system.but it stuck on blank screen.i think it was soft brick.then i entered into fastboot mode there by into edl then again flashed miui stable rom.now im back into normal miui stable 8.0.6 Os. i need help of u personally pls help me here ...now im going to install again this terp method and flash lineage OS. please help me in installing nitrogen os while using lineage with this twrp.pls ...thanks in advance(sorry for troubling u im beginner..i want to use nitrogen pls)
hi, i managed to make deep flash cable and it worked, now the device is showing as Qualcomm HS -USB Diagnostics 900E(COM10). now please tell me what to do next?? because my device is still not recognising in Flash tool.

Hello Bro when i click "reboot-edl" blank screen comes and suddenly phone restars itself. Do you have any solution for this issue ?
I facing lot of issues after flashing with this version. Phone loosing Network signal quite often . Cannot charge phone by connecting it to ant laptop as it takes it as debugger mode even if I disable developer option.
Will my phone be rooted too after this method? also is it sure that there will be no data loss or bugs like no sim card detected and all?.. thank you.. I'll be waiting for reply :)
