    Hello sir, my case is a peculiar one. I am a medical graduate. Passed my MBBS final year in 2017. After that i joined internship and took a break to prepare for USMLE exam, which requires us not to complete the internship. Due to some health and financial issues i got caught up and couldn’t write the exam in time and when i did booked the date to write the exam, lockdown happened, i myself contracted covid and grieved the deaths in family. After the pandemic, i lost hopes on my exam and resumed my internship, i completed it in 2023 and received my original degree and permanent registration. So now the issue is, I want to do PG in Germany, but now i have 5 years gap in my CV, as i took long time to complete my internship. I cannot acquire a work experience, even though i worked part time with my temporary registration, as no one gives me because i recently got the permanent registration of degree. Now i am in dilemma and in need of your advice. Please guide me, if i can apply for visa now or should i drop the idea. Thank you.

    Do you think Germany will be much more competitive in 10 years for IMGs? Specifically in neurosurgery.

    • @rohitbatrateach
      @rohitbatrateach  11 месяцев назад

      I think it will. As more people realise the way to germany, as more information becomes available and accessible, i think competition will increase. It has to. Don’t worry though. The beauty of the situation in germany is this- it isn’t a growing country. Meaning 30-35% of doctors will RETIRE in the next 10 years opening up more opportunities for the next generation. US. Hope that helps. Alles Gute!

    Hello sir. Just got done with my PG in pulmonary Medicine. Had to pay hefty amounts to get that seat in a private institution. But still recieved subpar experience. Now the competion has extended from the pg examinations into the work field. It doesnt help to " just have a postgraduation". So have been thinking lately of moving abroad for work.
    Does it make sense to consider Germany as an option, disregarding the pg i earned in this country. Have there been examples of people who have done this.
    And a wonderful video from your end. Thank you for that.

    • @rohitbatrateach
      @rohitbatrateach  Год назад

      hey thanks for your question. It makes me sad to know competent and motivated people sucha s a yourself feel not valued after years of effort and hardwork. Ofcourse this is possible and not unheard of.. Should you want to come to germany, i suggest start with learning the language. Pulmonary medicine, infact all of medicine has open jobs in all major cities and hospitals across germany so that will not be a problem for you, The only thing is that you might have to start your pg a´right from the start, If that is however what you'd like to do, then by all means, i shall encourage you to think and move in this direction,. You already are here on my channel so that is a good step 1, If you have any more questions, feel free to ask away. Hope that helps. Alles Gute!

      hey joseph. thanks for the question. you need a registered medical license to apply in Germany. it varies from state to state. If you can get the medical license in georgia after your mbbs, you can apply directly in germany, without having to give any exam in india for a registration. Otherwise you do
      hope that helps

    Sir, m doing MD respiratory medicine in india currently, is it a wise idea to come to Germany after that?. Is there a separate respiratory medicine residency program there? Or is it internal medicine only?
    Will by MD of 3 yrs help shorten duration of residency there?

    • @rohitbatrateach
      @rohitbatrateach  5 месяцев назад

      Hey alisha,
      There is a separate respiratory medicine program here in Germany. Its for 6years. If your previous experience is recognized depends on your curriculum and how those hours were spent. That is checked by the central registry and then answered. I would assume that atleast 1 year would be recognized from 3 you have completed. Leaving you with 5 years of residency plus time needed to learn german. Only you can decide if a jump to another country and going through it all for another 5 years is going to be „worth it“. Hope that helps.

      You can start by learning the german language. And then getting really good at that. Then you can start reading medical books in german. Then go to germany and start talking to people there.. it is difficult. But possible:)

    One piece of advice from my side : you talking skills just blow away my mind very few people have this. Try out something different zonora like vlog making - showing life in germany exploring different places in germany and many more whatever feels u good bcz in this zonora of pg abroad there is v less population interested in..

      So the decision of your experience being counted towards a residency in Germany will depend. You will have to SUBMIT your work experience and the content of your work in an official curriculum which will then be compared to the educational requirements in Germany. It takes time and varies each time. However you can get it verified which is the positive. Hope that helps. Alles Gute

    Sir,just want to know the recognition of pg degree from germany abroad-such as uk,australia,canada,newzeland via specialist pathway(i know in india its not valid unless you clear a mrcp/mrcs exam,and in USA its a long complex process-need to clear usmle ,do 2 fellowships,etc,europe-yes its valid i know,even gulf its valid )

    • @rohitbatrateach
      @rohitbatrateach  Год назад +2

      although i have no direct experience, based on a google search, i could find a couple of articles citing the recognition of a German PG in Australia and the UK. Canada is as difficult as to get to the USA. Hope that helps. Alles Gute!

    Sir, could you please tell us how difficult or easy is it to pass FSP and KP ?

    • @rohitbatrateach
      @rohitbatrateach  Год назад +1

      Great question Sumant. Ofcourse anybody can clear these exams. Both fsp and kp are essentially a summation of your knowledge from the final year professional mbbs exams for surgery snd medicine. FSP is designed to test your capability to talk to, empathise, and take a valid comprehensive history in German. KP is designed to see if you have a working knowledge, if today you were to be posted in the Emergency room. The Syllabus of KP is also mainly surgery and medicine as mentioned before. The idea that an examination "needs to be cleared" doesn't exist here. It's a test, sure, but the attitude of the examiners is supportive and inclusive, almost encouraging. Plus realize this, Germany has an acute shortage of doctors, so they are going to be happy about letting you get registered here with the medical council (getting an approbation). Hope that helps! Alles Gute!
