- How to Care For A Whippet: My Tips for First Time Owners
Hi guys, in today's video I'm sharing a few things I've learnt since we brought home our Whippet Ralph. He will be 2 in December and I've definitely learnt a few things along the way that I thought might be worth sharing.
I hope you enjoy, thanks so much for watching xx

All Whippet talk this week🐾 trying to make a few different playlists of videos that people seem to enjoy. Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend x
I have a whippet who looks just like Ralph and sounds similar in personality too. He’s nearly 11 months. I hear they calm down a lot when they are 2, let’s see! Thanks for posting 😊
@@Shellysymo79 aww he sounds adorable! Ralph’s 2 in Dec and has definitely calmed down a lot compared to how he used to be. Thanks for watching x
From a dog owner to another Ralph is so cute, we looked after a whippet for someone yrs ago, my brother in law has racing greyhounds, all seem very docile dog breeds 😊
@@bridiewright1519 aw thanks Bridie! They are indeed! What dog do you have? x
@@misschloemurphy we've a blue staffy called skye who is 10, our 1st dog, breaking my heart how slow n grey she's getting 😢
@@bridiewright1519 aww she sounds adorable! It must be so sad when they get older 😢x

Hey Chloe I recently got a new whippet he’s 11weeks now, how does Ralph goes with separation anxiety? I’m just super worried that my dog would end up with one
@@hanuljung9974 Hi Hanul, thanks for watching! Ralph isn’t great left on his own, he hates it! So long as he’s with someone he’s ok, we try and put him in daycare whenever we can if we’re planning to go out for a few hours or the day and he loves it! There’s a really good book called Be Right Back by Julie Naismith which has great tips on how to help get them used to being left in short durations and build it up.
I’d also say try your best to socialise them as much as you can with lots of people, different environments and others dogs, I think this helped Ralph really enjoy daycare and being with other people. I hope that helps x
