I dont usually comment on videos but this was a great vlog and as someone who isnt in law, it was great to get an insight into what being in law school is like! Thanks for bringing us along!! 👏🏾
thanks for joining me 🫶🏼🫶🏼
i kinda want a video on how you study for finals like your method and vibe? so fun!
I am on the fence about whether I want to go to law school or not. I was previously pre-med until I realized that science and math were not my strong suit and the actual day to day life of doctors (at least, the ones I shadowed) were not of a huge interest to me. I really enjoy reading and writing heavy classes, anything that is intellectually stimulating, and learning information that can be useful in other areas of my life. I am not sure if anything about law satisfies that, outside of being very reading heavy. Your video was very informative but could you perhaps recommend a video that shares what it is like to be a lawyer and what type of people thrive best in this career? Thanks :)
I feel the exact same way as you! I’m currently in kinesiology for pre physical therapy and I thought I wanted to be a doctor of physical therapy, but chemistry and math is definitely not what I am strong at and since I’m better in reading & writing I am going to switch to poli sci 😭
Law school graduate here, I hope I can help with some of my experiences and insight into law school and the field of law in general. If you choose this career path, you'll definitely have to keep up with the changes and constantly update your knowledge which is actually surprisingly interesting when you've already learnt about an area of law in school, you have its concept figured out so it's interesting to see how the changes are implemented, what consequences they have, what cases connect to them, etc. You'll most likely have to do lots of research for your cases regularly, keep yourself updated with ongoing cases around you, so it's definitely a lifelong learning with this career, however, as I said, when you're out of law school and you're not pressured by crazy exams, professors, etc., but you actually have a meaningful job to do good at, that's a great motivation and keeps you mentally stimulated. The school part can be demanding and sometimes feel unnecessarily strict and hard but I guess they test your limits and abilities so if you're determined and hard-working to get that degree, it's totally possible! And the people you meet along the way are fun, too! :)
@@fanni24 Love this advice! I am trying to do more research on going into law school, etc, and I am in my 2nd yr of undergrad, what would you recommend to do as someone trying to get into law school? I am joining a pre law club in the fall on campus and I would love to know any tips? When did you start studying for the lsat and things like that if you can!
I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope
you're such an inspiration, keep on shining girl!!! ✨

this was a fun vlog :) I'm not a law student but my undergrad polisci program has 2 required courses that use casebooks and cold-calling and are similar (I'm told) to law classes. Super interesting but they kicked my butt

when i say no caffeine after 2, i'm referring to coffee, which has like double the amount of coffee
great video! I’m looking into law school myself but I have the question of how do people afford their living expenses while at school? Do you work part time or possibly take out a loan? Do you think it’s possibly to work part time and go to law school? A video on those things would be very much appreciated.
Great questions! Everyone's situations are so different, but I live with my parents so my living expenses are minimal to none. That said, I do have a small scholarship and have taken out loans to cover the cost of tuition. Most schools will either heavily discourage you from working your first year altogether or only allow you to work up to 20 hours per week! I think it's doable, but may put an extra burden on you. Personally, I commuted about 2-4 hours a day, so that sometimes equated to what would be a 20-hour work week, but, I had the perk of living at home, cutting my living expenses. Hope that clears some things up for you!!
@@ppattynicole thank you for the reply!
