Great reaction. This was at Saitama Super Arena with a sold out crowd of 20,000 or more. Su-metal was 17, Yuimetal and Moametal were both 15 and everybody in the crowd was completely under their control.. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce wrote the guitar arrangements for this song and played on the studio recording for the album. Since this when they do the sing along parts they make sure to keep the crowd in time. Yes this was the second and final encore at the end of a 70-90 minute show ... and they had been keeping up that same energy and quality throughout complete with choreo for every song. The Kami Band that day were Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars (Ohmura has the signature glittery pink one), BOH on his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. They actually cut the final "We are" "BABYMETAL" call and response by a couple of minutes for the video - they went to each side of the stage (there were two more bridges) to do that before getting back to centre stage. I see Rondo of Nightmare (with the Mischiefs of the Metal Gods intro - the video should be about 7 minutes long, there are a couple that are shorter and don't have the intro) has been recommended already as has 'Headbanger' live at Legend 1997 - both excellent suggestions. I will add 'Amore', there is a very nice bass solo during that one as well and it is a great song.
Grington is dead on. Rondo with Mischiefs, and Headbanger 1997. I would add Babymetal Death also from the Legend 1997 show. Great reactions. This is the band that took Rush's place for me after Rush retired. Tales of the Destinies is a sick Babymetal Prog song.

The guitar work was done by Sam and Herman from Dragonforce. This is one of their like battle/uniting songs I guess, you can hear the war horns in the break after the intro along with war drums. Babymetal definitely put on a show and give you "value for money". This performance is the one that turned me into a fan. "Road of Resistance" is about fighting and resisting even if you can't see the way ahead; that's a common theme for Babymetal songs. I think it might be evoking Japanese resistance to the Mongol invasions. At the end of the crowd "wows" I love the combination of the insanely fast guitar riff and the dance sequence that ends with the girls standing strongly and outlined by the lights, that's where I really get the chills. It shows how well music, singing, dancing and stage and lighting design can come together. Great reaction. You clearly appreciate all the effort that goes into a production like this. Even in smaller venues on the road, Babymetal always bring maximum energy, the audiences always respond, and you get that feedback loop of excitement and joy and camaraderie. Last time I saw Babymetal in concert was a year ago today and man, like you, I really miss live music. Let's hope we kick Covid's arse and bands can get back on the road sooner rather than later.
Excellent. As may have been mentioned, DragonForce's Herman Li & Sam Totman wrote the twin shred guitar parts. Its said they wrote it with a high degree of technicality & speed, thinking it would never be played LIVE. Obviously not the case. In fact, Li & Totman played it live themselves on at least one occasion joining BABYMETAL onstage. Arigatou! 🦊🤘 #notacult

One of the great things about Babymetal is they were still teens during this performance. They were also known as the most famous around the world teenagers from Japan. :-)

Welcome to the Japanese music rabbit hole Band-Maid - After Life, or any of their songs really Lovebites - Shadowmaker DOLL$BOXX - Take my Chance Hagane - Labradorite As for Babymetal I would recommend BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL), just read the top comment on there its truly epic
Su-metal shouts "We Are" and Moa, Yui and the crowd answer "BABYMETAL" at the end of their shows (if the cocnert doesn't end with the song "The One"). It's one of the many hommages to X Japan, who always ended their concerts in the same way, only that the crowd shouted "X" back at vocalist Toshi. If you want more of BOH, the bass player, you should watch Ijime Dame Zettai live or Amore (but this one isn't on RUclips, except for bad compilations). These are my favorite songs when it comes to him going nuts. Or you could watch the Budokan performance of Rondo of Nightmare with the band intro.
@@flugelhornoldman1362 I read "I am not joking..." in the notification bar of my smartphone and drop the work I'm supposed to be doing to read your comment... 😅 That's super cool they're reviving these songs one by one. Especially the Su solos and Black BM songs, and Akatsuki was always one of my favorites in general. Now I really want to see these shows as pro-shots. They could do a box like they did with the Five Fox Festivals maybe? I also think we can assume that Momoko is the only Avenger left. Maybe it even stays that way (she is my favorite anyways 😉). @@flugelhornoldman1362 I'm going to start saving up now, let's hope it takes them a few months to release a disc set (if they do) so I can save enough. Maybe the dancers with Moa were students of Mikiko, but it's funny how you (and I would, too) automatically assume they were kids because they are smaller than Moa-neechan 😂. And I really like the "fight" they did at Legend S in the guitar solo part of Akatsuki, I'm assuming it was something similar. Death also sounds interesting, but I was never a big fan of the song and always thought of it only as a show intro rather than a real song. Tomorrow's probably the same show as today, I don't think I would have bought tickets for all the second shows, I'm too stingy for that.
This is my first time on this channel. Good reaction. I always enjoy this song (although I'm more of a Band-Maid guy myself). Quick question: Why is your logo an axe and an AUG? Is there a story there?
Hey thanks! The logo started as my game streaming logo, the axe was for survival games and the Aug was for shooters, I’m an Aussie and that’s the official military rifle for us. I have a new logo for my music stuff, it will start appearing on my videos in a few weeks!

BabyMetal Death - Legend 1997. Of all of the BabyMetal live performances, this one is my favorite. Most of the Legend shows are to celebrate birthdays. This Legend show was the one that predated the one in the Road to Resistance video. ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.html Only fitting after unashamedly stealing the main riff from Metallica's One, they steal Doris (Metallica's Lady Justice) idea and put the Virgin Mary there. choreography Sadly, the guitar player who plays the solo is no longer with us. Mikio was a key member of the Kami band and a teacher at the Music Institute of Technology in Tokyo - at one point he taught the other guitarist on stage with him in this video. A beast of progressive and jazz guitar, he'll be sorely missed. ruclips.net/video/pUmY_bmgSso/видео.html

Man, great reaction. As a bass player you need to see Rondo of Nightmare with the Mischiefs of Gods intro.
Next time it ’s wonderful to see this
「babymetal headbanger live legend 1997」
Rondo of nightmare and headbanger 1997, missin out on their best stuff
Great reaction, for the next one I HIGHLY suggest rondo of Nightmare with the mischief of gods intro. You'll get to see just how insanely talented the kami band really is
Please react to rondo of nightmare with the mischiefs of god intro live by babymetal
Ok I’ll have to find this live version
second this! that one has the great intro that really shows off the kami band. think you would love it.
This is cool! Great ) Thank you! More reactions to BabyMetal )
Mandatory request of Babymetal - Rondo of nightmare from Budokan. You'll get solos by the instrumentalists as an intro. Boh on bass is an absolute beast!
Their drummer Hideki Aoyama is a true beast especially on the double bass, and of course BOH the bassist is one of the top metal bassists in Japan..
5:57 you would think that su was trying to bring the crowd back to rhythm, but pretty sure it was cue for the band to start playing :P
When the Queen commands we as the one obey, but we never forget the Kami band.
This song gives you goosebumps and chills when the crowd start singing every time i hear it which is a lot . The fans have started to sing along to the intro now as well .
Just go with all other comments Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of the Gods intro. 🤘🦊🤘
To see the bands talent , may I point you to “ Catch me if you can” live at budokan. You won’t be disappointed. 🦊🦊
Best ever.. Shows are epic. That is how you close a show! Saw them live and would do it a thousand times over. BM is pure genius..
Excellent. As may have been mentioned,
DragonForce's Herman Li & Sam Totman wrote the twin shred guitar parts. Its said they wrote it with a high degree of technicality & speed, thinking it would never be played LIVE. Obviously not the case. In fact, Li & Totman played it live themselves on at least one occasion joining BABYMETAL onstage.
Arigatou! 🦊🤘 #notacult
Li ‘no this is a studio song, not for the stage’
Pink guitar guy ‘hold my beer’
@@Roguenjosh yes!
That pink guitar guy's name is Takayoshi Ohmura. He's one of the greatest guitarists in Japan, along with Leda Cygnus, the other guitarist in this live video. That pink guitar is Ohmura's signature guitar. And the bass guy is Bohte Dasuke aka BOH, he's mainly a 6 string bass player ^^
i think you would really like their song Rondo of Nightmare. It's a great song that lets the amazing band get some much deserved shine
One of the great things about Babymetal is they were still teens during this performance. They were also known as the most famous around the world teenagers from Japan. :-)
If you want to witness another babymetal interact with the audience on live perfprmance, try some of "Headbanger" song
thanks for using this type of cover of the video...usually people put the babymetal logo in the middle of the video so you can only see the corners of the video and nothing else😩 but here i could still see (especially because i kinda know how the video looks like) what part/scene you're reacting to right now
Thanks Tosic, it doesn’t always work this way but I’m happy when it does
@@Roguenjosh btw i came to a great idea, instead of pausing the video often reactors should just put 11 seconds long black screens in between so viewers can just fast forward this part like there was no pause in between (hope you understand what i mean)
Thanks for your reaction ! Glad you enjouyed it. It's clear why Babymetal won international awards for best live act and best live band. :-)
This was just the closing song, their was a lot more going on, including use of the stages for the production.
Quick Repo Day5 (Feb.19) : I am not joking. Death, Onedari and Akatsuki done !!
*Octagonal Center Stage (not rotating), *Avenger= Momoko・Kami= Boh, Ohmura, Isao, Hideki,
• Setlist: 11+2 encores : Death (short, rearranged, no voice) IDZ Gimme DokiDoki Onedari (Moa + Bones) Akatsuki (Mustle sisters appeared in interlude) Distortion PaPaYa Megitsune Karate Headbang One (J) RoR
@@flugelhornoldman1362 "well, well, well, we meet again.", glad to see the old songs again ! :-) I see lots of confusing about what happened online from abroad. I assume Akatsuki was with 2018-style fight scene. Onedari had 4, I guess, sister bones ?
@@autohmae I will answer when i go back to home I am now in the train
@@flugelhornoldman1362 hehe, don't worry, I'm certain it will be clear soon enough. It reminds me of being on the train back home a few days after Wembley Arena and I was watching the BABYMETAL - Twitch Stream. :-) was really cool after such a long weekend of Babymetal to have a live stream of Babymetal on the train. Such a luxury of the modern day.
@@autohmae Phew! I am home and took shower and grabbed cold drink after briefing to my wife (she was with me on Day-2). Budokan is very convenient because it takes me less than an hour to go. My answer is as follows : Short and rearranged Death (without voice) was surprising, Onedari with 4 Sisterbones was phenomenal and Akatsuki with Muscle Sisters appeared at interlude in 2018 warrior outfit was mesmerizing. As you know, Onedari is a song appropriate for kids. I believe the Sisterbones are kids dancers because they are all smaller than Moa. I saw Moa's maternal facial expression. I had near-death experience 3 times at the venue. 😄
This took you so looooong sireeee!!
Live performance Baby Metal always Amazing...great reaction bro...Next " Karate " Live download UK...👌👌👌👌
another GREAT live show is Rondo Of Nightmare with an intro with the band playing. its just a little over 7:00 minutes long of pure awesome
Headbanger the legend of 97 live version!
Nice react bro, if you want some bass, react to Rondo of nightmare with mischiefs of god intro
Last part they are saying “ We Are” BabyMetal
Great song, really dig this band, you should definately listen more! Great reaction too
Hey fellow adelaidean, nice to see a local on the net 😉. Glad this was my first babymetal song
Hey legend! Best city on earth!
@@Roguenjosh damn straight it is
Babymetal Love ❤👏🎶
Headbanger live next!!!!!!
Nice video! Since that it seems that you're interested with the band, I recommend you either Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of Gods Intro Live at Budokan Black Night or Catch Me If You Can Black Night Legend Doomsday or Amore Live. All of babymetal songs always showcases the band's skills but I personally think these 3 showcases them the best.
Catch you at the foxhole! Kitsunes up!
Great reaction. More please
nice reaction video thank you
see you🤘🦊
The fucking KEY CHANGE
Great reaction👊🏽🤘🏾🦊⚡️
This is an anthem.

Great react man. This song amd performance are simply Amazing! You need watch Catch me if you can whit Kami Band intro live! Is great! See you in the next 🤟🏻 🦊 🔥 🔥 🔥
hi Roguenjosh! From Rundle Mall!! Excellent reaction.Welcome to the extremely diverse world of BABYMETAL. Every song is different. That was the legendary
Kami Band backing SU Metal(lead singer) Moa Metal and Yui Metal. They are all world class entertainers. The Fox hole is deep.I would suggest

Welcome to the Japanese music rabbit hole
Band-Maid - After Life, or any of their songs really
Lovebites - Shadowmaker
DOLL$BOXX - Take my Chance
Hagane - Labradorite
As for Babymetal I would recommend BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL), just read the top comment on there its truly epic
fantastic insane ❤️
we are ..babymetal

That's super cool they're reviving these songs one by one.
Thanks for your reports, as always!

I could not ticket for Day-6 tomorrow 😢 while I managed to get them for Day-7 through 10. I have no idea and do not want to think about the price of disc sets to be released right now. 💦
Next rondo of nightmare with intro👍👍
This is my first time on this channel. Good reaction. I always enjoy this song (although I'm more of a Band-Maid guy myself). Quick question: Why is your logo an axe and an AUG? Is there a story there?
Hey thanks! The logo started as my game streaming logo, the axe was for survival games and the Aug was for shooters, I’m an Aussie and that’s the official military rifle for us. I have a new logo for my music stuff, it will start appearing on my videos in a few weeks!
@@Roguenjosh Ah. Gotcha
Nice reactions and I suggest you react to another song called Death!
"We Are"
Can you tell that Dragonforce was involved in writing and producing the song? It has such a huge Dragonforce vibe, combined with BABYMETAL awesomeness :D
Also welcdome to the fox hole new fan. Great reaction. And yeah, the instrumentalists are insanely good :D
next rondo of nighmare
More BabyMetal! How can you argue with the number of views? There are babymetal channels with videos especially for reactors that don't get blocked
You should watch BOH's Bass solo if you are bass player.
Excelente! Babymetal 10 years headbarger! Please check another live performance... Rondo of Nightmare with intro mischef of god, the Best song ever by Babymetal
BabyMetal Death - Legend 1997. Of all of the BabyMetal live performances, this one is my favorite.
Most of the Legend shows are to celebrate birthdays. This Legend show was the one that predated the one in the Road to Resistance video.

Only fitting after unashamedly stealing the main riff from Metallica's One, they steal Doris (Metallica's Lady Justice) idea and put the Virgin Mary there.

Sadly, the guitar player who plays the solo is no longer with us. Mikio was a key member of the Kami band and a teacher at the Music Institute of Technology in Tokyo - at one point he taught the other guitarist on stage with him in this video. A beast of progressive and jazz guitar, he'll be sorely missed.

Great Reaction and you have only had a smattering of their true brilliance. You mentioned how incredible the band is and the bassist named BOH. I would suggest your next video be Rondo of Nightmare Live at Budokan: Black Night Apocalypse. Showcases the band and its a solo song for Su-metal while Yui and Moa rest a bit. As a band you don't just play at the Budokan, YOU get invited to play the Budokan. Keep up the great reactions and looking forward to your next. ruclips.net/video/sts90Rn44Sk/видео.html this link has the full song with the Mischiefs of metal Gods intro

Serious question, what's the name of your band's song that is playing at the end of this video? I really like it! I tried searching on your website, but couldn't find it.
