never understood the hate for this game , i personally love it , and i came right from adventure 2 to this game, i understand shadow is slippery in this game , but at the same time , no shit he's slippery , he's on fucking rocket powered inline skates of course he's going to be slippery
Yea i also see that people say that shadows homing attack is too slow its like of course its slow its a shadow android it has to be slower to separate his game play from sonics
IMDEMNEWBS that... doesn’t make sense, considering the Shadow in this game is the same Shadow in SA2 and Sonic Heroes. the “Shadow is an Android” theory that started in Sonic Heroes was debunked in the final, canon ending of this game.
_ D0ct0r _ 1.) the same can be said for any mission based stage/objectives in other Sonic games 2.) the point of choices/alternate timelines in this game is to show a “what if...” scenario. even thought the final ending is the canon one, all of the others are still cool and interesting possibilities, so it’s not like they’re wastes. 3.) the majority of the Sonic series is pretty poorly written, let’s be real. 4.) the animation in this game looks better than the animation in Sonic Heroes tbh. much less choppy. areas are more detailed as well.
Well as it turns out a character that controls like they are always on ice doesn't make for a good game experience. Not to mention this was a serious attempt to be edgy and most of guns suck (the minigun and a few others are exceptions). I enjoyed this game when I was younger but playing through it again I can see a lot of flaws.
I just love how inconsistent Shadow is at following Black Doom's orders. One minute he's actively ignoring him, next thing you know he's murdering people and the president
Thank you! Open the checkpoint menu slightly before (like a couple frames before) pressing the Chaos Control button. Only works on North American GameCubes and PS2s.
@@KersYT Closing it doesn't prevent it from crashing, it just has a chance to do that. We don't know exactly why, but using Chaos Control Glitch just always has a chance to crash the game. The menu closes itself if you touch the goal ring and it doesn't crash.
After using Chaos Control on Gamecube, the game sometimes holds you in the air for a second while it makes sure that the land below you has loaded in. Pausing makes it so that this doesn't happen, so you can drop immediately after unpausing.
When either meter is filled up, you get the chance to use Chaos Control/Blast, obviously. But that's not the only benefit. It also temporarily gives you infinite ammo and invincibility.
You need a US Gamecube or US PS2 version to do ccg. (I really don't recommend ps2 though.) If you don't have these versions and still want to do speedruns, every speedrun is separated into a with ccg and without ccg category. Any version can compete in the no ccg categories.
The speedrun community defines "Pure Dark" as a run that ends in GUN Fortress. If you want to see runs that only play the Dark missions for each level, look up the "Only Dark Missions" category. BlazinZzetti has the world record, I believe.
11:07 very nice of Tails to congratulate you on completing the dark mission
Way to go shadow, you killed the president!

@@Kearskill YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice run dude
The ultimate life form but now is he got sonoc speed
Do people do a full game speedrun? Would be interesting XD
This is a full game speedrun though? Not sure what you mean.
Do you mean getting all of the endings? A few of us have done runs of that.
@@azurillkirby he mean the full ten play through and the the final with stage before super Shadow vs devil doom

7:28 the song for "the doom" is the absolute shit
This category should be called “Dark End” or something like that.
"Dark" is an ending that ends at Black Comet. "Pure Dark" ends at GUN Fortress.
Why did you pause on the ark?
After using Chaos Control on Gamecube, the game sometimes holds you in the air for a second while it makes sure that the land below you has loaded in. Pausing makes it so that this doesn't happen, so you can drop immediately after unpausing.
So I noticed while you were shooting the chao gun, you didn't lose ammo. Any specific reason for that?

@@Blueji Not just NTSC, because it doesn't work on the Japanese version. It has to be an NA-NTSC version.
where can I find one?
@@Blueji IDK
i think, it's not pure dark. fully dark route it is the only bad ways, killing gun, destroying bombs and other.
I didn't name the category.
Isn't this the neutral path
No?
@@azurillkirby would that be the fastest path?

shadow uses a guuun??
