  • In this video I will show you whole process. We will design simple PCB and we will order it on PCBWay site. www.pcbway.com/ . All my pcbs are produced by pcbway.com , they are really fast and quality is great.
For designing part, I am using free software called CircuitMaker2, you can download it here :
    circuitmaker.com/
This tutorial is made for beginers, I hope you will learn something useful. It is very easy to order your PCB, and they are very affordable.

I've got back to electronics as a hobby after my education in high school and university. Of course, lots of changes since 1999. :) I was looking for an easy solution for my circuit designs to use in PCBWay and watched the whole of your video. Thanks for your directing and encouraging me to go forward. Best regards from Turkey to Croatia which I was in Plitvička Jezera for hiking 3 days long :)

thanks I followed this vid, and learned a lot, using the whole board as ground with the pour was very interesing. Ive only picked up electronics as a hobby recently and need tutorials like this thanks again.

Excellent video! I watched the entire thing. Croatia looks beautiful by the way. It is on my list of places to visit. Dubrovnik seems spectacular. Thank you so much for making this video! I have subscribed to your excellent channel.

Nice tutorial, It's a lot to fit in 30 mins, prefer KICAD myself....cheers.

Hello. Your LED symbol on the PCB layout is the wrong orinatation. The flat edge side is the cathode side and should be connected to ground. If you put the LED in the orientation shown, it will not work. HTH. You may have mentioned this in the video, but I did skip some of it.

the altium website seems to be a bit broken. Every time i go to the download for CircuitMaker It asks for my email to send me a link for the download, but i never get the email...

Do you have to pay customs duties in your country? I did in mine so, I suggest to consider that expense as part of the order.

In my country every package outside EU need to pay custom duties if price is higher than 30USD, so somtimes i need sometimes i dont.

Is it easier to use than Altium designer?

I dont know, i never used Altium, i think it is very similar.

@@VolosProjects It does look very similar, i might have to try working on circut maker because it looks like more simple version of Altium Designer😁

@@augustas1372 Altium is very expensive so unless you are gonna use it at work and get the boss to pay ! or you have the money to buy it whats the point of learning it ? my advice would be to learn KICAD if you google that and have a read you maybe see my point....good luck.

Pretty good. But all through I kept asking WHY? There was no explanation of the REASONS for doing things or choosing particular options.
Why does your schematic look chaotic compared to what you were working from? No Vcc rail across the top, no GND rail, the R / R / C from Vcc to GND was lost. Why was R3 a different symbol? No explanation of connections that cross vs connections that connect.
Why choose SMD not through hole for a beginner project? Why not put the ground plane on the bottom? Why no mounting holes? This is an essential that beginners need from day zero. No explanation of any guidelines or thought processes for placement. Why does the PCB have the LED on the left, i.e. why doesn't it follow the left to right flow of the source material and of the schematic? No explanation of the what the rat's nest lines are and what they represent. No explanation of the fact that naming the pour as GNDand then re-pouring it makes the ground connections to the components. (Why did you leave the bottom right of the GND plane with that stupid chamfer?)
No explanation of what the options at the PC producer's web site were and what they mean.
You need to increase the scale of your display. I watched on a tablet and it would help if dialog boxes and what your clocking on were bigger and readable. This might have been better as three separate videos 1. Schematic capture and creation, 2. Layout, 3. Ordering. All we saw was WHAT you did, not WHY you did it (which to be fair is what the description says but not what the title implies).
