Criticism is not equal to defamation. The kind of allegations that Anshuman's parents have voiced are serious in nature. If Smriti is innocent, why doesn't she come and tell her version of the story?

If these parents were innocent then they would not make this public and keep it behind closed doors because smriti has a long life ahead of her....this defaming efforts by shameless parents is just terrible!

Is asking for your son's Kirti Chakra to be brought on the day when his murti is inaugrated too much to ask for? Moreover, he has clearly said that more than money, it is the rules regarding Next of Kin which he has problems with. You have so many parents of dead soldiers who have spoken about how wives get all the money and separate from the son's family. This is India, not United Kingdom where the government takes care of you from cradle to grave. Many old parents are dependent on their sons for their daily expenses and even healthcare. When the son is alive, he looks after both his wife and his parents. But when the son dies, the monthly pension is given to the wives. If the wife separates herself from the dead husband's family, the parents will be left to fend for themselves. Take this case for example. I hear many people saying that Anshuman's father is a retired army man and he must be getting his own pension so why does he need his son's pension? Okay, let's accept it for a while. Isn't Smriti a well educated independent woman herself? She must earning more salary than his father's pension. Why does she need her martyred husband's pension then? Why can't some percentage of the pension be given to his parents?
If there was a child, then it woulf be even more wrong to cut ties with the in-laws because she doesn't have the right to cut ties of the grandchild from the grandparents.

Anshuman's parents are right here. smriti ditched everyone and moreover, her parents were so shitty they don't show the behavior of a cultured family. they disrespected them as well. She didn't forget the past when it came to taking kirti chakra. but when it came to talking Smriti and their family completely ignored Anshuman's parents. this was not true love they just got a good fish. smriti and their parents give no statement because legally no one can take any money or chakra from them. they flew away with a medal without raising the soldier some rules need to be changed. indeed, widows aren't treated well so going away is ok getting money is ok but treating the other family like that is insulting. Now Anshuman's parent has to deal with their son's loss and insult from the widow. this woman was an opportunist, played, and got away. she did it well. its funny.
