I was in a band in the 90's where it was often just me and a female singer. She also struggled to hit the right pitches when singing over a synth sub bass line. It's all good in the studio but it's tricky to pitch to live. He needs to give her a feed of something pitched and melodic in her in ears so she has something t pitch to, Once we did that my singer was able to hit the correct pitches much better.
disagree, her voice is so beautiful and her singing it live is just pure makes her even more wonderful
@@Awzuki i was specifically on about 2:19 where the vocals are a bit pitchy but the rest of the gig was good, i was just relating my personal onstage experience with hitting vocal pitches over synth sounds that can be harmonically confusing in an unusual sounding room/stage. I've also left several comments on youtube about how they never use any pitch correction on their vocals live or in the studio and that's a commendable trait of integrity in modern music, soulful and honest.
