@@rodracer4567 i'm serious i dont know if it would be good for F1 if another Team leaves because it's not looking good for Haas and if Mercedes would leave too we would only have 16 drivers witch would be a new record for smallest F1 Grid and who knows if Mercedes would stop makeing engines too (and no new motor supplier would came) we only would have Renault and Ferrari as engine suppliers.
It seems interesting to me how the 2009 McLaren and Ferrari scenario might repeat. Imagine if RedBull brings their A-game in 2021 to fight Mercedes for the Championship and both teams are stuck in a title fight to the very end of that season. With budget cap they won't have enough resources to develop both 2021 and 2022 cars simultaneously, which will obviously affect their new regulations-spec car. Therefore, there is a chance for an other, better prepered title contender team. Normally I would say that Toto would not let that happen, beastmode boss he is, but since he is said to be on a verge of leaving his current post, who knows? RedBull is not to sign off as a next year's contender either, they keep developing their 2020 car to better undestand the 2021 project, which is virtually the same car. so who knows? You heard it here first. Love to you all!
It's 2023 and Mercedes only managed 1 win since the 2021 Abu Dhabi title decider and currently has fewer podium finishes than Fernando Alonso. The only silver lining is they always score points in the races they finish, keeping them ahead of Aston Martin and Ferrari. Meanwhile, Red Bull is now dominating as harder than they have before with Max having a decent chance to beat Vettel's win streak record and Red Bull already equaling McLaren's win streak record.
If Red Bull does indeed end up losing the constructor's to McLaren this season (which looks increasingly likely), they would definitely feature on an updated list, in how they managed to go from a season that started with the same crushing dominance of 2023, only to end up struggling against a team that surged forwards from being backmarkers at the start of 2023, to being supremely competitive by the end, dropped back at the start of 2024, and currently has F1 24's fastest package.
It’s 2024 and McLaren is back on top btw. The merc engine plus the McLarens banging chassis made it. Ricciardo is top of the drivers and Mercedes are second
McLaren 1992. The writing was on the wall in '91, both championships were close. But for Mansell to wrap up WDC with five races to go and needing a second place tells a lot. Yes, the FW14B was out of this world but the difference between it and MP4-7 was huge.
Lotus 1979 After mastering ground effect with the 78 and 79 they went all out with the extreme Lotus 80. It was simply undrivable and even destroyed its own chassis due to excess downforce. Carlos Reutemann refused to drive it and eventually Mario Andretti gave up on the car as well. Lotus played catch up ever since that season and never won a title again.

- Cooper in 1961, from being dominant with their mid-engined cars in 1960 (Jack Brabham champion again and winning five races in a row) to no victory at all and only one podium with the new engine regulations (from 2.5 l to 1,5 l) and Ferrari finally adopting a mid-engined car - Lotus in 1979, so dominant with the beautiful 79, but failing with the 80 car whereas other teams like Ligier then Williams used the ground effect in a better way.
New entry at #1: Mercedes-AMG. After 8 long successful seasons for the Brackley-based team winning 8 constructors' championships and 8 driver's championships, Mercedes found itself in a state of total disaster after bringing out what seemed to be an intimidating design with a philosophy very different from the other 9 teams on the grid.
Brabham 1982, Benetton 1996, Lotus in 1979. Worst title defence was Alberto Ascari who dominated both 1952, 1953 and failing to score a point in 1954. this was quoted by Clive James on the 1984 review when talking about Nelson Piquet. Also ferrari finished 3rd and 4th in Monaco 2009. i know not where there supposed to be but people forget.

Well, his car sucked ass in the first part, but in the final straights it was the third or even the second best car of the year. Even Kovalainen made good qualys on it.
@Barcelona golden state Who said erased? He said "not always", which even you just said is true
And the best drivers tend to get into the best cars.
Schumacher is possibly the best of all time, and he normally had good cars. But that was only because of how well he did in Belgium 91, which allowed him to join benneton and win 2 titles, then moved to Ferrari and had only 96 and 05 as average cars
So if Hamilton doesn't have the best car on the grid, he won't win championships?!?!
00:12 ya that aged well😀😅
I'm from the future. Life's still rough but Hamilton forgot how to brake and Verstappen is gonna be the world champion
This aged well
This aged like fine wine
Azerbaijan gp...... Abudhabi gp😂
2022 Season. Implemented New Car Designs. Mercedes’ first race was a flop, and Hamilton lucked into third due to Redbull having problems with both cars in the closing stage. A new era?
Fan from 2028 here! Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton left the sport after they both got 15 championships. Mercedes said they wanted to move away from fossil fuel and Lewis just said he needed a break. Hopefully we'll see him back, but still 15 championships is insane
Excellent video, thanks!
Mercedes were toppled in 2027 when the Williams family brought back Williams F1 from Dorrilton and put back in the car the great Robert Kubica alongside Dan Ticktum. The sheer meme power toppled the great Mercedes Duo of Lance Stroll and Kevin Magnussen
I am from the future. Mercedes has left F1 having won all of the rest of the titles until their departure. Now if you will excuse me I need to find some plutonium for my Delorean.
Go "Back to the Future" :D
Imo I don't like the idea of F1 becoming competitive again through Merc leaving.
The winning team would have an asterisk next to their title and it would leave a feeling that they won only because Mercedes wasn't there.
I’m coming from the future and to say Mercedes have officially dropped the ball.
It’s the year 2022 Mercedes and haas are fighting right now
I love these videos thanks so much for your efforts top notch
The Redbull are favorites in 2021
It seems interesting to me how the 2009 McLaren and Ferrari scenario might repeat.
This aged like wine.
Total Prediction.... you from future😂?
It's 2023 and Mercedes only managed 1 win since the 2021 Abu Dhabi title decider and currently has fewer podium finishes than Fernando Alonso. The only silver lining is they always score points in the races they finish, keeping them ahead of Aston Martin and Ferrari. Meanwhile, Red Bull is now dominating as harder than they have before with Max having a decent chance to beat Vettel's win streak record and Red Bull already equaling McLaren's win streak record.
In year 2030 Eddie Jordan bring back Buzzin’ Hornets and they *turn all tables*
Totally missed Lotus. People dont realize how good they were in the 60s an 70s
This video needs to be updated!
Oh how I would love this
McLaren 1992. The writing was on the wall in '91, both championships were close. But for Mansell to wrap up WDC with five races to go and needing a second place tells a lot. Yes, the FW14B was out of this world but the difference between it and MP4-7 was huge.
Love the content 👍
Watching in the future is fun:
-"When Mercedes' current F1 dominance will end"
-Wait a minute, what dominance?! xD
Lotus 1979
After mastering ground effect with the 78 and 79 they went all out with the extreme Lotus 80. It was simply undrivable and even destroyed its own chassis due to excess downforce. Carlos Reutemann refused to drive it and eventually Mario Andretti gave up on the car as well. Lotus played catch up ever since that season and never won a title again.
A lot of teams in 1979 cought up in the ground effect technology
Lotus struggled in 1979 and 1980
Even in 1981
watching this after verstappen lapped hamilton in imola 2022
Worth it just for the Patrick head words of wisdom
Well well well, the tables have turned Mercedes.
Recommended to me after merc cocked up Russell's race
"I'm currently typing from the year 2025. Mercedes dominance has ended and Charles is 3 Championship deep into his ascendance to F1 olimpus. Ferrari came back with a massive 2022 package and is always improving"
That's what we would want to hear... F
After this weekend probably 2022!
Well, two races into 2022... Merc seem to have finally dropped the ball
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
3:30 this aged poorly
Watching this after the 2022 imola grand prix were now living in that intro
Well... Mercedes hasn't been dominant, but they haven't fallen off too badly. As of now (2022) , they're a solid 3rd-best in terms of pace.
Mercedes is a mid field team!!! They completely missed on the new regulations!!
Lost in 2021 to Red Bull and now can’t do better than 6th if everyone finished the race.
Hopefully, Mercedes in 2022
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
At best it there will be a title fight.
2022 looks like it could finally be the year!
It’s 3087, Hamilton Junior Junior has just won his 276th world title by 4766879 points, winning every Grand Prix this season in the process
Ferrari 1954, 1959 1980 and 2005, Renault 2007 , Williams 1994 and 1998, Red Bull 2014 or Lotus 1966
Scott Mitchell and The Race are the buzzfeed of Formula 1 news
- Cooper in 1961, from being dominant with their mid-engined cars in 1960 (Jack Brabham champion again and winning five races in a row) to no victory at all and only one podium with the new engine regulations (from 2.5 l to 1,5 l) and Ferrari finally adopting a mid-engined car
- Lotus in 1979, so dominant with the beautiful 79, but failing with the 80 car whereas other teams like Ligier then Williams used the ground effect in a better way.
Shoutout to all the guys in the future who are here after Mercedes don’t win a Championship in the Hybrid Era
I just love me some Michael Schumacher footage.
Some more options: mclaren 1987, Mclaren 1992, Benetton 1996, tyrrell 1974, Lotus 1979. Good list though
Time for an updated version
2000 Mclaren, 2022 Mercedes, 1992 Mclaren, 1996 Benetton
I come from the future in 2025 and Lord Mahaveer mades his f1 debut and destroyed Mercedes, alongside with his teammate Romain Grosjean
2022 anyone?
2:00 Williams 1994
the momment you mentioned this
emotion got the best of me
RIP Senma
2022 Mercedes finally dropped the ball by making a pogo stick with wheels
3:30 2021: Are you sure about that? Verstappen Record first 3 races R1:P2 R2:P1 R3:P2
Nice vid
I knew Ferrari and McLaren from 2009 would be on this list pretty high, just for the fact that they where 2 teams winning the championship the year before.
