I like the way that this band makes videos explaining their songs. Not many do that. It takes Godly courage to upload a video like this despite knowing that some people may not accept it. Their song control is very raw in a good way. What I mean is, the lyrics expose what other songs would do in metaphors because of fear if what others would so. The dysfunctional culture we live in is not what was destined. God doesn't want people exposed to misleading music and literature.
I am so grateful that God is rising up followers of Christ who aren't afraid to enable The Holy Spirit within to crush the secular and sacred divide by Graciously ENGAGING the deceptive culture around us with Truth. The Apostle Paul does this several times as noted in the New Testament by even taking pagan references (for example, worldly poetry that wasn't meant for God's Glory) and putting them into a Godly context to ENGAGE the worldly people around him, as noted in Acts 17:24-28. "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves" - Jesus says in Matthew 10:16. So, yes we should be on our guard, (& not let the world corrupt our character), producing an awareness of the opposition (the enemy, the darkness) in this world; but with discernment we are Also called to be as Wise as our enemy, and to permeate culture with our light. It doesn't matter what beat Royal Tailor uses in his songs, the food he eats, etc..., what matters is The God He is serving, and to Whom He is devoting The Glory to, which is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I ENCOURAGE YOU brothers & sisters, don't be afraid to stand up for what you believe in with pure motives, grace, salt, & light; & never be afraid to captivate the culture around you in effective ways in which God is Glorified, which I believe leaders like Royal Tailor in the music industry, ARE doing. Such an amazing message, but they cover many songs from the same types of artists they're singing about. Little hypocrisy, this is where christians need to be careful. If you're actions contradict what comes out of your mouth, it's of no use and distorts our image as followers of Christ.
