Obviously you're smart mashallah, but I think this is wrong. How could surgeries for beautification be halal when the hadith that prohibits plucking the eyebrows specifically mentions that beautification is the purpose. By your same logic can't you get any plastic surgery with the intention of "changing the unsightly" even when you're the one that says it's unsightly? For medical purposes yes of course it makes sense, but for beautification I find it very difficult to agree with you.
Sister may Allah bless you. I think what the sheikh meant by unsightly is something that is severely wrong with the person or their body part. I don't think the sheikh meant a person is allowed to change the creation of Allah and get surgery just because they don't like a certain characteristic but rather something that is majorly wrong with them and that's why after he said "unsightly" he added "abnormal and isn't how its supposed to be". Allahu Alam
@@AH-il8sp "severely wrong with the person" as in aesthetically or medically? Medically: yes you're allowed to fix it. Aesthetically: Ahadeeth that im familiar with go against that
@@msnadiaeid That's not true for all. If it becomes a problem for someone then sure they can do it. Being preemptive I dont think is a good enough reason. Think of it like Rhinoplasty. You shouldnt get a nose job just to "enhance your ability to breath from your nose". But if breathing through your nostrils eventually becomes an issue, then of course you have to do it. Just because you're not functioning at your MAX 24/7 doesn't mean you're suffering. Some can have crooked teeth and be perfectly fine.
hamduliAllah I know of somebody who is watching this with braces on :D jazaka Allah
Very eloquently said 💪🏽💙

To be fair, crooked teeth really damage the jaws and shape & alignment of the mouth. Which then affect the way we sleep & eat.
