  • Since the start of the year, the Dancehall Reggae space has been inundated with a number of game changing issues with the latest having to do with the defense of the genre by Mr. Vegas in the Drake “Views” album saga.
When it comes to defending Dancehall…our guest in this segment is most certainly one of the most vocal so his views on these issues are important; he is the Dancehall ‘warlord’, who knows a thing or two about feature credits with at least three big international featured hits to his name.
    Bounty Killer right now onstage.

This is why Shabba deserves a lot of credit for refusing to perform at the BET awards. Some Dancehall artist will take just about any little attention they can get. Have some pride for once. Dancehall is not a hurry come up genre. It's nothing new, Dancehall does not need snips from Drake, Nicki and Rihanna. Vegas said if you truly respect the thing, then come to Jamaica and work with some of our artist and producers. Simple. The pop artist do it, so why can't the Hip Hop ones do the same?

Cant believe I'm here thinking, yes someone who represents the music that I love is talking sense and finally pointing out that this daggering ting in the dancehall is pure fuckry, it has nothing to do with the beat and is just an act. Ain't this just common sense. I'm a man who love di gal dem bad, and consider few things to be sweeter than to beat out a sexy buff girl in the privacy of a room. But I don't wanna see that ridiculous shit in the dancehall anymore.
