Thank you for putting great videos out for all to enjoy. I truly learn a lot . Today I just purchased two Bernina machines. A 730 Record and an 807. Looking to restore them. We shall see how that goes 🤞.
Hi, thank you for this video. I just got a Futura 1100 from my great grandmother, I tried to wind a bobbin but it didn't work, the bobbin doesn't spin and now I can't even get the bobbin thread to go up with the top thread, any idea what the problem could be?
I used to have seven of those Singer Futura machines and every one went to salvage. They are just terrible machines compared to so many others of that period. You have my sympathy for wasting time on them.
I used to repair them but quit taking them in about 20 years ago. Too problematic. Rubber feed dogs, motor mounts, spool pins broken, feed and hook driver gears, on and on. Probably tossed 3-400 of them in the recycle bin without salvaging a single part.
This is the first time I've come across anything about this machine. I was given this as a 21st present from my parents as a forever machine, sadly only 12 years later the circuit board died and to replace it was $900. So I bought a new one, which I still use today successfully. Nothing electronic on this one. lol. I believe I still have my old singer futura somewhere. Do you think it is worthwhile getting a new circuit board and getting it fixed? I love this machine it was a great little machine.
If you could get a good circuit board at a good price it would probably be worth it if it's just for playing around with. That's only if all other mechanisms are working properly. Thanks.
@@InStitches Thank you for your advice. I sew a lot and it always good to have a back up machine. I found it such a good machine when I had it, but sadly it didn't last very long. But I will look into I think. 🙂
Great video.I have that same machine sitting here with all the buttons needing cleaning. Great Help !
