The champion did exactly what he did against Lee Selby at Elland Road and rushed Frampton in the opening stages, only for The Jackal to survive and battle it out for 12 gruelling rounds...

what a fight. i will no longer doubt warrington. i thought with frampton experience he was going to win, but how wrong i was. warringtons ko of 6 in 27 fights is very deceptive. the man can punch hard, fast feet, fast hands, fantastic inside fighter. hope he goes and unifys now

Jacob Sibcy mate I have no idea how Frampton didn't go down. On top of that he was firing back. Both fighters were gracious at the end. Really was an advert for boxing

i can't help but keep on being reminded that frampton is wearing sandels when i look at his feet because of the white spots at the front of his foot wear, must be boots though surely😄

Got to say the ref (Steve Grey..?) was fantastic, maybe split em too quick a couple of times but he did let them flow most of the time. And he looks like their dad. Josh now needs to go monster the whole fight! Nice to see their brotherly love- legends X

Great work rate by Warrington super fit he is and kudos to Frampton for weathering the storm and fighting bk to take a SD loss but for me this was a MD points win not a SD one.

Great fight. Warrington a much better boxer than he’s given credit for. He’s very cute on the inside. Finding the openings but moving well and not getting hit himself. Steeping off and creating the angles to hit and not get hit. Fair play to him. Great fight two very tough men.

Nice fight. Good work from Warrington, but also impressive endurance from Frampton. He received some heavy punches but ended the fight standing.

Can't imagine what it's like to beat your heroes and Idols. Particularly when they're at the end of their career and they're as likeable and worthy of respect as Carl.

Josh Warrington is the best. Hate to say it, but after seeing this fight, I could see him beating Valdez and going 12 rounds with Santa Cruz 50/50 on that fight being they have the same style and stamina. Those would be awesome fights.

Well...both are very good fighters & I can say ice cold up to the end without loosing for a moment their courage both received their share of punches but Warrington qualities & speed shine on the spot now as far as Frampton he was under huge pressure from the beginning of the fight was tough & hold back the blows but no way would measures to Warrington .

Warrington lad reminded me of the way many people used to try claiming Joe Calzaghe didn't hit hard, and undersetimated him early on. Is actually truly refined power. Short range;----- and it soon shows as their careers unfold......Have become a Josh Warrington fan since this fight...Will be following the progression of his career from here on, to be sure.

First time I’ve watched this fight properly, it wasn’t the total domination of Warrington like everyone’s made out. First 2 rounds yes, but not all lot. If I was frampton watching this back I’d be confident enough to think he can beat him next time. He traded to often when he didn’t need to

Warrington brilliant on the inside all fight
Punches landed in the 11th round was 24 to 18 for Frampton so he landed more in 10 and 11 with Warrington landing more in the 9th. 3 round totals are Frampton 67, Warrington 63. In the 12th and final round it was 22 punches landed each. That would make the last 4 rounds, if punches landed were the only criteria, 2-1-1 in favor of Frampton and in punches landed it was Frampton winning as well by 89 to 85. Now I'm tempted to count the first 8 rounds but in slow motion it takes a lot of time. I'm interested to see how the judges scored the last 4 rounds anyway, to see if they agreed with me or not. They were all 4 rounds close so it won't matter much unless they give one guy all 4 rounds.

Frampton is fast but doesn't move around the ring a lot. He is elusive but Warrington moved in and out to score - and this manoeuvrability won him the fight

I counted punches in the 9th and 10th rounds using slow motion. In the 9th it was 24-21 favor of Warrington, in the 10th it was 23-21 for Frampton. Can it get closer then that?
