- Hey guys! I just wanted to share the full story of how the twin birth went down. I didn't get to capture everything when we were at the hospital, so I figured a recap would be helpful for some of you. There have been plenty of people asking additional questions about my birth vlog and I tried to answer most in this story. I'm also working on filming/editing a Q&A video for you all as well! Thanks for watching!!

You must have had a fantastic doctor! The fact that she was willing to try out natural delivery with twins AND that she delivered Harper feet first is SO ENCOURAGING to hear!! It can be done, but most OBs REFUSE to even attempt it. Yet look how great and healthy your babes are doing! This whole story is just wonderful
I know I have a friend who is trying to be a midwife and do home births she said its possible to deliver babies feet first and their are ways to flip babies over safely. But hospitals dont want to train doctors to do that they prefer C-section because hospitals get more money with C-sections. Not saying C-sections should stop, but you have to becareful and make sure they are doing it for your safety and baby and not money. I heard hospitals have robed women of the experience of a natural birth for not necessari C-sections.
Right ! Even with just 1 baby and the labor is taking to long they just wheel the women into surgery to get a C-section
@@lval05 yes ! It's a huge reason why the rate for C-sections are high
I totally agree, this video is indeed encouraging. I also had twins naturally, but it was nothing like your video!!!! First of all there were 7 people in the room, in fact 10 including me and my twin pregnancy (lol). no reason for so much idly chatting (ie the 2 junior surgeons the whole time staring at my vagina and hating me for daring to use it for twins) as this was before they even induced me properly, I am surprised to learn you had so many complications early on in your pregnancy and that they were really good about allowing you to have a natural birth. I had NO COMPLICATIONS, but they were hell-bent on cutting me open like a pie... Like you, my twins were my first pregnancy. I had no pre-issues just a bit of high blood pressure when the twins were fighting to see who would be eldest and come out first which was about 1-2 days of high pressure then went back down to normal with no meds, no nothing. This was around 7 months of pregnancy; however, the hospital called me up at home and said they were sending an ambulance for me to come in immediately to have a c-section that day. I asked why as I had no medical issues and both babies were healthy, and I felt fine the reason they gave was '' It would just be better for them if i agreed to a c-section now as they have staff waiting to do a c-section. when i asked what the medical emergency as my records was are fine, I'm fine, and the twins are fine, they then said OK, if you don't want to agree you can come in when your due date. How bizarre! (Suppose I had not used my common sense and asked questions as soon as I asked what the emergency was? and they had none so no one turned up in an ambulance to escort me for a non-emergency C-section that was not even required. Anyway, weeks and weeks go by and I'm happily getting on with it, i was at nearly 38weeks through the pregnancy and I waddled over to the hospital for a checkup and was told my blood pressure is a little high (to be honest I hate hospitals so get very anxious when in them), So at nearly 38 weeks I agreed on my birth plan to be induced that day but NO C-SECTION, omg, YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE IT... remember i have no medical or health issues my twins are natural, we have 3 generations of twins, my cousins, my aunts, it doesn't miss a generation so it's in the DNA and my body is primed to conceive and deliver twins naturally. However, the staff, 4 different nurses and 2 new student surgeons kept badgering me to sign consent on my birth plan for an unnecessary C-section. each time I asked what was the medical need for a C- section they just kept saying no one with twins can have a natural birth and that I NEEDED TO BE REASONABLE and just agree to be cut open and not even attempt normal delivery, This was coming up to dinner time on the ward and they refused to feed me, from lunchtime 1pm to 2am that night when I gave birth to twin I a super healthy 6.4lbs/ and 9 minutes later her twin sister 5.13lbs. 2 girls NATURALLY, as usual, twin II was breech but the excellent doctor they called from her sleep to perform a natural birth knew what she was doing. She simply pushed twin II feet that were dangling out back in then turned her around inside my tummy and in 1 push twin II was out and fine, they gave her straight to my mother as I was already holding Twin I and thanking god we were all alive. The hospital staff was so rude to me because I they felt embarrassed that they were obviously wrong and lying to me to get me to sign or allow a c-section... what's wrong with these people?? it's as if they get bonuses or paid each time, they get to do a C-Section or surgery on someone.... If it's the case that they get paid to cut, you open like a tin of sardines no wonder they were pressuring me to do an unnecessary and potentially life-threatening operation FOR NO REASON. I am happy though, my twins had no health issues and I discharged myself the next day and got my father to pick up myself and the twins after my massive maternity holdall that staff would not allow me to bring into the multiple suite delivery room due to sanitization issues, mysteriously was stolen from my locker on the ward while i was giving birth. I wrote a letter of complaint to the hospital, and they were not fazed by their staff's behavior. I feel C-Sections should only be reserved for those that, medically need them, or want them..... Forcing C-sections and major surgery on healthy individuals without a medical reason is point-blank CRIMINAL CONDUCT and they should be sued. Anyway, sorry rant over, genuinely happy this video shows a better, more supportive natural birth. Well done!

Congratulations they are perfect
Parents journey began.god bless your family
Such beautiful twins
The babies are so cute congrats
Do you know what your hemoglobin was before you gave birth ? I’m pregnant with twins & obviously worried about hemorrhaging. My hemoglobin is pretty low.
You did great. What a blessing. My dil in law did nature and twins were born 30 minutes apart
Pushing still hurts. The epidural never helps me from the waste down either. Pushing was really hard with my first. The second pregnancy I got the baby out in one push lol
💖
God is good!

Your babies are gorgeous! You are really an amazing mummy, you have birth like an actual goddess! You should be so proud of yourself. I have 2 little girls and I promise it gets easier and you will sleep again!!! Xxxx
Your doctor was comfortable delivering feet first? That's amazing. I wasn't sure any OB would do that.
Birth weight??
That is crazy that the girl twin came out feet first. Usually that is a C-section in the hospital in my city they will not do Vaginal births they do C-sections and with twins forget vaginal they push C-sections that is why if I ever have kids I won't go to that hospital. Nothing wrong with C-sections I know they are a must, but to push them is not right. I want a hospital that will give me a woman a chance. That is crazy you had a natural birth with twins you are lucky and awesome I heard C-sections are high in twin births.
Totally agree-and I’ve never had a vaginal birth, just c-section. Doctors pushing unnecessary methods of deliveries on pregnant women is far from ethical. I am so happy for her and how she got the birth she wanted. Plus, holy moly, delivering twins naturally AND with one of them being breech makes her a rockstar. I can’t imagine.
@@sarahmanning442 I know she is a trooper she should advocate for twins to have natural births or help increase chances. For women to have natural births. Yes I know things happen and sometimes a C-section has to happen, but I am hearing to manny are happening. Women's Vagina is ment for pushing out babies and doctors should give women a chance to let the body do what it can its self then. If push comes to shove C-section. Especially with twins.
I love you and your videos!, but please don’t say things like “ epidurals you have nothing to worry about“ , I almost died from mine, and also there are many people who have had horrible outcomes, you had a good experience from yours, your very fortunate! Sending all the love , you did such an amazing thing to birth 2 Bubs vaginally! Well done mumma!
I think she meant like the actual process of getting the needle placed, not that there were no risks. ❤️ (I’m sorry you had a bad experience! It can definitely be underreported and the very real risks can be played down by some providers.)
As a midwife I was offput by that comment as well. Epidurals are wildly risky, babies born on narcotics. We shouldn't be taking the use of epidurals lightly like she did.
We've recently launched a book business called Personalised Children's Books, they are personalised learning books and we have FREE downloadable materials for your kids!
I'll be happy to send it xx
Are the twins identical?
No, they're boy-girl twins
You did so good mamma! I’m a lab tech and trust me the babies are more mad that your touching their foot than they are about the actual needle prick itself. I’ve drawn plenty of babies and it’s not usually the needle prick that they hate the most it’s more just the fact that someone is touching their foot and they aren’t used to that.
Yeah right. You sincerely believe that the intentionally injury inflicted via needle isn't the problem, it is just the foot touching? How delusional.
Any other point they have their feet touched they don't cry but the time they are wounded they scream, yep must be the foot touching 🙄 wild you're allowed to touch babies
