i will always come back to this whenever i feel it reoccurring just like now because this doctor has helped me calm down!! bless this doctor!! on youtube glad i found you :))
Where it's still felt to me like a heart attack could be just starting to come on even though it was just a panic attack, is when I got a quite tight enough feeling in my chest or at the bottom of my chest. I'd then always think if that tight feeling there gets worse and also spreads way up into my chest, that then I'd for sure be worried about it being a heart attack.
Im 15, pretty active and no family history of heart disease but i’ve been feeling slight chest tightness but I cant tell if its a panic or a heart attack or something else.
I can't find anything that can soothe me. When i have a panic attack my heartrate rises. I have a tremendous pain in my chest, shoulders and shoulderblade. My left arm hurts and feels warm. My neck pulls. My jaws will hurt and i feel scared. Tell me how i possibly need to understand the difference. I been to ER too much and told panic attack and been rqcking up bills. One day when it's what i fear most, i won't recognize it
Well try to think of it this way: you've been trough that before and are still here. Then what are your risk factors? Then again who am I to tell you, because, honestly, just this last year I've sought urgent medical care for the same reason 5 times. Thankfully, we have something like NHS so we're all insured for urgent cases, and some levels of medical care and therapy. Otherwise I would've bankrupted several times by now. Downside: things like communal health insurance mean crowded ERs, overworked MDs and "conveyer belt" type of approach to a patient. Misdiagnoses are common, and empathy and reassurance, all but nonexistent. However, I'm still planning on seeing a good specialist privately, so they can have me take ergometry, echocardiogram and ECG , there are specialized devices that can take all these tests simultaneously, and if those turn out good, than I can work with a psychiatrist on a good enough treatment. At this point to be fair, I'd take any sorts of psychiatric drugs if they ensured no more of this, even if they had horrendous side effects (which they sometimes do). I don't know about you, but I simply and plainly CAN NOT function. I can barely sleep, and I keep thinking about when will the next episode be and what if that one's not a panic attack. Ironically, enough of untreated panic attacks and even super vegan will get a heart condition. I hope you're better now, but If not, I hope you get better soon. G'd bless you!
@@miloradvlaovic Yes, same. It feels like a heart attack or something related to that. Been to ER multiple times but all tests clear. Lately, mine are more frequent and getting severe and prolonged. Can easily stay for 4 hours or so. Hyperventilating, breathing issues, tingling feeling and fast heartbeat.
Oh im so glad you said jaw pain. I think i just had a panic attack and my jaw hurt my back my throat. I thought for sure i was dying of a heart attack. It lasted only a few minutes. But man i hate them!!!
0:40 when i heard that twice what a relive!!! this doctor was a huge blessing even after i went to my doctor twice and said i’m fine the anxiety still came back but that at 0:40 really is a relief ❤️❤️ so much relive! amen
I have this fear of having a heartattack even Dr Gupta is explains the difference makes me uneasy the moment I hear the term heart attack makes me anxious, I've got checked multiple times but my worry about my health doesn't go away 😔😔😔
@@DanBradyeah like what the doctor said its true and i had a check up to with my doctor he said i’m fine but it still comes back i have to exercise more i think even though i do
So you telling me that im always having a panic attack? Doctors did a EKG test and said my heart was fine. But my palpitations are constant all day, ive checked my blood pressure every day and its always in the 140/100 range. Short of breath and not being able to sleep since i always wake up feeling like im about to suffocate.
I'm literally going through this exact situation right now. I keep getting lung pains and feel it all on my back. If you see this Marcel let me know what happened.
sometimes when I get anxious my blood pressure has gone up to 165/110 but once I start calling down it goes beneath 120/80. if the doctor says you're fine then it's not the heart
I had a heart attack 2 years ago I swear, my heart started beating fast around 5am, I flatlined, and they pumped me with all sorts of drugs. The hospital claimed I had a panic attack. Scary!!!
I think I have panic attacks... But what worries me is my family history and the fact that I was very pale during my first episode... EKG however turned out fine
Ok so i suffered from panic attacks of having heart attack for almost two years and when i got real one I didn't even recognize it and was feeling quite good with just some "muscle " pain and walking for two days with it. I thought that it will carry out like that: you feel intense pain, suffocate , loose conciousness and die. How is it possible that was able to make 40 push ups and stand ups in 30 min just 7 days before and didn't feel anything?
You just took off an elephant out of my shoulders after you said that very first thing!
Same as well since then i haven’t been researching goggle much to which made me worse
by just watching Dr. Gupta's explanation, my anxiety symptoms go away on its own. feeling assured of my health..
Same here!!
Lol nausea and impending doom are a huge symptoms of panic attacks for me 😭
Yep
Same, i feel it everyday.
Me too

Thank you so much for this! As someone that suffers from a new anxiety surrounded around the heart, this hit the nail on the head!

If no feeling of pain like elephant sitting on your chest, then no.
I am currently having a panic attack and i feel nauseous, dizzy and i have pain in my chest
@@franciscobarroso1263 you good now mate ?
this is a great little video. I suffer from panic attacks and when they occur i get the shakes, which is probably caused by adrenaline

Dr Gupta is such a wonderful dr continuing to share his knowledge to the people.

Sounds like generalized anxiety disorder. I say 'sounds' because that's how I've felt for 3 years straight. You are probably healthy otherwise.
