It's great to see/hear a young person on their personal discovery of new places. Keep exploring. There are so many beautiful and interesting places to discover on this planet, and with time you will also meet a lot of nice people.
One of the most informative videos that I've seen a tourist create about London, and in 1 hour, well done. You're were telling me things that I didn't know 😂
Loved that you noticed Little Ben, you would be amazed how many people walk past it without noticing, and yes it is a replica of the Elizabeth Tower or Big Ben as it is often referred to. I don't think I ever heard it chime (little ben that is), assume it must do.
I walked past it 6 - 10 times a week from 2018 to 2022 via Victoria Station. I just now realised how unobservant I was. Mind you crossing roads or avoiding people not looking or caring in that area is a nigtmare.
I enjoyed your whistle stop tour. Tower of London and Tower Bridge are iconic, even a walk around the outside of the tower is worthwhile and a short walk to The Monument.
Charming young lady. Infectious enthusiasm for a city I really don't rate very highly. Took me back to my own explorations of foreign countries. Excellent English, better than most natives. Good luck to her.
I agree . I won a TV competition to visit Kew Gardens. I went with my sister and it was wonderful. I'm from Yorkshire. London is very interesting to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. The real Londoners are nice people, but not always easy to understand the accent. They'd probably say the same about me!
"What other places should I visit in the UK?" - Newcastle (upon Tyne); not on everyone's tourist itinerary, but certainly if you're into architecture. And the people are - well, _different_ to those of London.
Yes, there is free entry for the service and this information is also available on the official website of Westminster Abbey, but unfortunately not many people know about it and also capacity is limited so it is important to arrive early.
Your English 🏴 is very good 👍🏻. I'm a Londoner and you have shown more interest in London in 1 hour than I have since I was born here over 40 years ago 😂. I hope you enjoyed your stay 😃. If you can try and visit other parts of England 🏴 too, there are some nice places out of London. London is super busy all the time 😃.
A good video. Ideal for anyone planning a visit and gives a bit of information on each of the sites. I have been up the clock tower (Elizabeth Tower) to see the bell Big Ben. Yes you have to hold a British Passport, and write to your MP (Member of Parliament) for an appointed escorted visit.
1 hour in London...id probably go to Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and Chinatown...but even those places youd probably need a whole day to appreciate them
Looking forward to the Swansea one. I’m interested to see whether you show the seafront with the cafés, restaurants and museums and the nearby public parks, student areas like Uplands and the nearby countryside and coastal path in the Gower or opt for the less pretty grey concrete areas of North Swansea - judging by this video of London I suspect it will only be the nicer parts that you film.
Oh, it's endless. Most overseas visitors like the historic castles, ancient island abbeys (reached only by boat), fortified manors, medieval palaces, etc. Then there are picturesque fishing villages with thatched or stone pubs and houses - (fresh food straight out of the sea) - famous towns, scenic narrow-guage railways (like Ffestiniog in Wales), sheep walking in Wales and reindeer walking in Scotland. Ferries to the fjords and island communities of Scotland. Deep underground caves with via ferrata circuits, the world's fastest mountain zip wire - canoeing in the Lake District (or even down one of the rivers, like the Thames). The National outdoor museums like St. Fagans in Cardiff, and the National Space center in Leicester. I'm not even half-way - do you want me to continue? You need about 3 years to get a reasonable insight into the British Isles. And we havn't mentioned anything about Ireland - it's different again.!!
Most UK citizens spend their lives doing anything that they can to avoid going to London. London is really a law unto itself and bears little to no resemblance to the rest of the UK.
Here we go again.. another London hater. Bore off! I have friends and family that love the Cotswolds, York etc etc.. but LOVE London. London, Lisbon, Buenos Aires, Krakow.
