Thank you for reviewing Aliexpress items. So many channels are all about Temu reviews, I shop at Aliexpress and to be honest I can't be faffed opening an account with Temu so this was really helpful! The other minis that I've bought from them all were really good so far
I DRASTICALLY prefer Ali Express for my crafting/dollhouse supplies: its easy to buy very small/very large quantities of almost anything, but Temu has mininum checkout requirements, sometimes as high as $20!!! On Ali, if I need 5 beads at $.10 each, that's all I get and all I spend.
An idea about the lamp with the metal tube at the bottom: if you don't want to drill into furniture for it, you can glue some stacked books together and drill a hole in them which makes it more portable but also styled
I checked out the persian rug mouse pads based on your suggestion and O. M. G!!!! They look like real rugs, have a great thickness (2mm, which in dollhouse scale is about an inch), TONS of patterns, and I found them in sizes from 3x5 inches, like a bath mat, to 8×11, like a big area rug. The big ones were only $3.50! I'd been searching for big, good looking persian rugs for forever and was about to pay for screen printing. I got 3 for $10! Thank you SO MUCH!!!! You saved me some serious time and money and they look fabulous!
Those posts at the bottom of the lamps may be because they would tip over because of being top heavy, if they were flat bottomed. (I'm guessing here ; ) Maybe you could make a bit of a wider base from clay and stick the post into that. Or just dismantle the lamps, if possible and trim the post off. I love what you're doing to the house! 👍
Good idea. I think they are for just drilling ad securing into floor and furniture bases more securely so if I can't drill some holes I'll give your advice a go. Thanks
I thought they were for stabilization as well. I looks like you'd have to have a lighting plan and drill holes of where you want the lamps to sit, this would make them permanent fixtures. Bentley House Minis has done lighting in her projects, she might be able to give some tips regarding the lamps.
@@TasminBassettArt the velvet paper is so soft too. I'm sure anyone with painting skills could do a hand painted motif on it. The paper I got also has a sticky back (with a peel off paper) so it could be stuck down if you wanted to do a wall to wall carpet look.
There’s a couple good Ytube vids about printing rug’s directly on fabric with a home ink jet printer. You can do any style you want that you can download a good picture of
I've got quite a few AliExpress miniatures and haven't seen this with the tube before, but, it does remind me of the kit build miniatures houses or rooms, they usually want you to feed the wiring through walls and furniture (which I never do because I only buy them because I can often use a lot of the parts in 1:18th scale so I never complete them. They both look to have small bases so I would probably attempt to make wider bases that would also accommodate the tubes but that may make them too tall for your needs?
Yes I've since made furniture and got a pin vice drilled a whole and inset the tube to hide wires in a drawer of a cupboard for example. Works fine. But haven't tackled the floor lamp just yet 😵
I don't mean to sound so dumb. I am in my 70's so I am not sure about how to search. Do you by chance have a link for this rug with fringe? I appreciate your time and thank you.
Hi and forth when you show it? Makes the viewer dizzy and hard to see. Lol. Maybe if you think you have to do that plz slow down the movement. Thank you for sharing. And again welcome.
Where am i!.?.....I seem to have entered another dimension by accident, not sure how i got here but its like being in a woman's head i imagine!. It is very sweet and innocent.

your welcome. I was going to try out temu but heard alot of scammy stuff about them so stuck with aliexpress. hope it was helpful
Temu's parent company was caught installing malware/spyware on their app, so wise move not opening an account with them!

You can make a small scare plateau out of self hardening clay for your lamps, and paint it to look like marble.
Oh The Tale of Peter Rabbit was my Favorite!

Yayyyy glad I could help ya out! Yet to buy one myself.
Thank you. I was wondering how the rugs were. And I love the little stove
Thank you so much for this video, very informative and useful to understand what is suitable for Sylvanian houses😊!

I've made a few rugs with velvet paper. I used a large stamp and a stencil and ink to make a pattern on them. They came out really nice
What a quick clever idea.

Love your renovation videos!
You can add some baking soda to acrylic paint to achieve more realistic effect with pots
Thank you x Yes I've heard about that it's really effective.
So the post is there to put in the floor/table, to hide the wires. Some miniaturists wire their entire dollhouses, so it works well for that.
Could you make another base for the lamps instead of drilling the floor? Like add a small circle piece of wood to make it look like a thicker base
Yes I'm sure you could. But the wire will still have to be directed somewhere.
you made super unboxing-
How nice for you. So did I and mine didn't arrive and they refuse to give me my money back...

Not dumb at all. Here's the link.

Ya, u probably paid $1.99 for the item, but got charged $39.00 more for customs & $12.00 shipping fee.
Oh I didn't. Just the shipping extra. But Temu is cheaper.
