For everyone just discovering that black people are born without color at first, I want to add that typically our ears will show our true skin color and the baby slowly darkens into it
My son was born light. His fingertips was really dark. He darkened but never reached the color of his finger tips. He's almost 12 now. Perhaps that will be his adult color.

Lots of newborns don't look the prettiest but we don't say that because it's rude. They are wrinkled, squishy and look like a blob of white covered strangeness, lol. My eldest daughter literally looked like a baby chimp and was covered on every inch of her body with dark black hair. I still said she was the most beautiful baby I ever seen because to me she was even though by society's standards others would say differently. It doesn't matter what others think. You were beautiful then and now. If you feel beautiful then you are. ❤️
