- Unboxing of a Solar Vinter A1.7 Vinter from SOLAR GUITARS - the guitar company founded by Ola Englund. This machine boasts an Evertune Bridge with Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, 24 frets, 7 strings, 26.5 inch scale, set-through neck design, stainless steel frets and luminlay side dots in a white/silver colour scheme.
You can feel the harsh Scandinavian winters and trve kvlt black metal music from just one glance at this metal monster.

It's kinda weird how theese puppies doesn't come with a gigbag. Both the E and V modell does, but this one, and what it looks like: The Gc and the T modells doesn't come with any gigbags.
Yeah definitely odd. With the A shape, I'm sure many gig backs will work fine but you'd expect that a bag was included.

Nice guitar but why didn't you order a Kiesel guitar? I want to get an Aries 7E.
Thanks! Couple of reasons - first, I've just been curious about Solar guitars for a while. Second, price - I wanted to keep the costs low for the next guitar, and this was $1299 all up. Couldn't spec out a Kiesel with an Evertune and fishmans fluences in the same price range - I think there's $300 added for the evertune and $200 for the fishmans. Also the kiesel fishmans only come in black, I believe. And... I don't think I have the willpower to not design something gorgeous, so the cost would never be near the base model price :P third reason was waiting time - production guitars will obviously arrive faster than a custom!
I'll save the next custom experience for something special.
I want to get this or the s1.7pb... But, I am kind of liking the vinter color.... Such a hard decision!!
Yeah that's tough dude! I'd put it down to the pickups - are you more interested in the Duncan Solars or the Fishman Fluence Moderns? As for aesthetics, I already have a Kiesel with a nice burl top so the clean Vinter finish suits me better. Either way, youll get a great instrument!
How matte is this? Satin finishes are always a problem.
Not satin at all - its very matte! It's easy to get smudge marks on the Fishman pickups but they're also easy to wipe off.
@@KarzGuitar just wondering because the matte/satin doesn’t hold up and they are impossible to keep looking good. Several guitars I love are only in satin and I’ll never buy any of them.
@@schlagdog should be fine - its matte. have a look at the close-ups at the end of the video or one of my covers for a good look. Or look at any solar A white model - its the same matte white which seems to last others a long time 🙂
