Thanks for the review. I’ve been looking forward to this vinyl release. I still have the CD I bought when it first came out. I’m not a Dave Matthews fan, but I love this album. ✌️

Thanks for the info! Love the band. I went to their concert when I first moved to US. Great memories, except a drunk guy fell with the chair on my both legs and had to go to their ER.
    Great video!👏

Ouch! That doesn’t sound like a lot of fun. Hopefully you weren’t hurt too bad. I’m glad you enjoyed the review and I hope you enjoy the album.

@vinyllatte I guess I am a little late to this review party. Great review. I was introduced early to this debut solo effort by Dave Matthews on CD in 2003. The soulful and sometimes dark sound let me know that this was not a DMB album. "Dodo", "Gravedigger" and "Stay or Leave" are album favorites for me. As I remember from the time it was released, it was criticized for straying too far away from DMB and didn't properly capture a new sound for Dave. I completely disagree with that thought. I find this album unique and well arranged. So much for critics who like to pigeon-hole artists. As for the vinyl release, I found the recording to be excellent. However as you have indicated, the pressing from a cleanliness standpoint is disappointing. I purchased the Amazon exclusive fog colored version and after multiple deep cleans with my VPI 16.5 could not rescue the vinyl. I went as far as purchasing another black vinyl copy from the DMB online store. Unfortunately, this was handicapped with the same issues. Fortunately, the album itself is fabulous, so I push past the pops and clicks to enjoy the experience.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I agree with you on the uniqueness of the album-it really stands on its own and showcases a different side of Dave Matthews. It's unfortunate about the pressing quality issues; it's frustrating when a great album doesn't get the vinyl treatment it deserves. Kudos to you for pushing through the pops and clicks to enjoy the music. Sometimes the love for the album outweighs the imperfections in the medium!
