Congratulations. Well done first video. I completed the Camino Frances is 2022. I can remember every single step of the first day that you documented. Your video was referred to me by a mutual friend. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip.
Digging the mist/fog shots. Looks like an inspirational adventure. How does it compare to your time on the PCT? Great to see a school principal that loves the outdoors!
It was amazing! Funny you should ask about the PCT... so different. Sleeping in a bed each night, getting restaurant food and having a daily shower are not realities on the PCT! I thought it would not be as beautiful as the PCT, but it was, though different. Less remote feeling.
What time of year did you walk the French route? What did you use to film? I have brought cameras in the past, but was usually too tired to do much filming. I did walk two Caminos this past summer… one with each of my daughters, 19 and 15. I hav a bunch of video clips, I might string together. I walked the Camino Invierno with my 19 year old daughter and some friends. Then went back for the Coastal Portuguese route with my 15 year old. Nice videos! Buen Camino!
We were hiking mid-June through early July. Weather was fantastic. A few rainy days and only a couple of days up in the 80s Fahrenheit. We just used our phones (Samsung) to film... I love documenting it, but I hate carrying anything extra. For sure the quality could be better. LOL! Hoping to do the Camino Portuguese next June.
Thank you so much for sharing! ❤
It was a great trip... and the videos were a fun way to remember it.
This is so awesome! Thank you so much for sharing, Brian! You and Jody are an inspiration 🙏
Empty nest life goals! :-)
well done, especially after such a late start!
That elevation gain is no joke!
Thank your Mr. Bell for sharing your pilgrimage video with us. You both are inspiration for us. Looking forward to the videos of the rest of the days.
Many thanks
