- To say that videogames in 2024 have been underwhelming is a profound understatement. With multiple hyperbolic critic scores and numerous underperforming games when it comes to sales performance released in the first half of the year, Avid and Mike discuss if the second half of 2024 can save the entire year.
This generation of gaming is the worst so far. I miss the PS1 PS2 xbox360 days
90s and PS2 era of games were the true ones, look how personality Midnight Club 2 has or Jade empire. Just an example.
After 2010s, games started to fall and when transactions came to place, it gone bottom and when agendas came in, it left the room.
Its been a terrible year. We had some good indies on steam. Only thing I'm looking forward to is Assetto Corsa Evo, Stalker and Silent Hill. Thats it.
It isn't just mediocrity but also to accept greed and malicious intent on them(the audience). It is like they enjoy being badly taken care of.
l am referring to every game, online, competitive or single player.
That's just how the people are, and that's why we have such mediocre games. The games are dependent on the type of people. Do they aim for fun, creative games? Fair games, without greed and so on?
Gaming is now rigged casinos(competitive online games) and cows for milking (any other game)
The only good one is Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth.
One of the problems I have with gaming nowadays is devs putting malware in there games. One example is valorant, the valorant anticheat is kernel level which means it has access to your whole pc. The anticheat has shown to be very malicious and not work correctly.
It also doesn't help that Sony doesn't have any like first party titles this year we have to wait till next year for any first party titles to be announced or released
