    That moment when you realise that even making this animation took quite a while and went through the exact same pipeline it's explaining.

  • @TheNimaid

    It's easy to forget these big studios are just a bunch of individual human beings who are geniuses in their own fields. Like, every Dreamworks movie, there is someone who gets to say "See that hair strand right there? I was the one who made it look like that in the lighting! It took like 10 hours, and I had to invent a never before seen method of layering, but I think it looks pretty good, huh?" or "Dude, see how the ice cream wets the fur when he drops it on the dog character? Man, that took me like 7 hours to render 1 second!"

    • @SpaghettiToaster
      @SpaghettiToaster 6 лет назад +10

      Ella Jameson He doesn't render, DreamWorks' server farm does.

    • @jojolafrite90
      @jojolafrite90 6 лет назад +2

      What you describe looks more like working for Pixar…Plus, they never addressed rendering in this thing.

    • @SpaghettiToaster
      @SpaghettiToaster 6 лет назад +5

      jojolafrite90 Because rendering isn't work. Apart from some setup work on the renderer and perhaps some special settings for channel separation based on the scene, no human work is needed for the rendering process. It just happens on the farm after everything else is done.

    • @Kaboom1212Gaming
      @Kaboom1212Gaming 6 лет назад +5

      As a 3D artist I can definitely say yup, rendering is automated. That being said, it's probably someone from the editorial team that sets it up for being rendered in the first place, i.e. getting the correct codec, file format for whatever project there are doing. Though most would be a lossless format anyways...

These kinds of things can only deepen the audience appreciation for the sheer volume of work that goes into making one of these things.

      More than talent are they work, you dont need talent just practice every day. Even if someone have some talent and dont work in it , it will be a waste. Behind all that "talent" are hours of work and practice. Everyone can do it, all you just need its to practice. And with the time you can even discover more ways to perfect your work.
