Im a law student myself now. All i can say to students who r sitting for SPM and whos been planning to pursue law. The 1 major thing you should care for is, your PASSION in LAW field. Dont think about how being a Lawyer could provides you. But you should prioritize your PASSION. If only you have passion on something, then only you d be eager to strive hard for it. When u dont have interest in one thing, you d easily let loose yourself. Trust me. For me, i ve been back n forth looking for my counselling teachers in school previously when i was seating for my SPM so many years back.. only to request for an aptitude and psychometric test so that i can see clearly the path which im more into. And it helps a lot since ive the general traits of smhw what a law/lawyer should ve had. Tell u what, my real ambition when i was 7 is to become a police officer, and im sticking to that until im in middle sch.. only to realize that one day i wanted to learn laws. Cause i love reading history, i love doing research, i love to investigate things to the depth of it.. hence im sticking to the dreams to learn Law and here i am finally doing law! ♥︎ Also, yes. I hv no other option left since im not good with maths even when i was in the primary’s 😂. I love science but w/o a good maths, i cant pursue with science! And honestly saying, i really wanted to do law, no peer pressure nothing. The intention just naturally grew in me! 😂. But ngl law is hard when u dont study or procrastinate things.
Hi. I believe there's some misunderstanding here. The minimum entry requirements for public law school is generally higher than private/oversea law school. If you're a Malaysian Chinese/non-bumi, you really need to excel in your academic results in order to secure a place in the public law school (most probably due to the quota system).
No such thing la.. fyi pub uni for law sub have no race quotation they only have batch quotation for exmple if in UUM law stud only 100 per intake cannot be more… UM if im not mistaken its 120 and UKM around 100 too bcs professional courses our government put quotation for intake and one more thing i want to highlight for u guys pnya infomation hahaha law student at public uni most of them are non malay. MOST OF THEM IS CHINESE AND THEY DEM GOOD AND ACTIVE TOO MOST OF THEN ARE DEANLIST STUD FOR EVRY SEM AND VERY ACTIVE IN LAW SOCIETY!.
I’m so afraid that there is no any dislike on this video , that’s mean it’s do true 😂 I love the part when she said I’d rather lose 5 years than the rest of my life doing something I don’t like
Omg it is true. Even myself a Malay can't get ANY scholarship just because I got B+ for my english. Like everything else is A. Then why making just one subject a issue. So I just got FAMA(father and mother) scholarship. I continue my study in ACCA at sunway. Thank God sunway give me some waiver. Even I apply for UPU the course i got also need to pay because my parents salary already over the limit of waiver for fees. So I'm just like you pergi swasta or private sama jer both also need to pay.
Thanks for answering my question in this Video. What if you pass BPTC in the UK can you be enrolled as a lawyer without sitting any further exams in Malaysia? Like in our 🇧🇩 no matter what you have passed before but to be a lawyer in BD (advocate) you have to pass the Bangladesh Bar Council exam. So, in our country, people become a barrister from the UK just to achieve the title (Barristter) and then they again sit in the Bangladesh Bar Council Exam if he/she wants to practice as a lawyer in Bangladeshi Court🇧🇩.
😌Last week another old lawyer told me that they took only RM 300 during their past pupillage period while "he/she" was trying to consider how much "he/she" should give pupil. Therefore, I think pupils in Malaysia should be grateful to take an allowance lessor than the poverty line/ minimum wages while being scolded (maybe) or being treated as a cheap labour of the firm without learning much practical knowledge. It is damn funny & toxic.
HI, I'm a American undergrad student that definitely wants to go to school in Europe or the England to become a solicitor and wanted to do LLB as well and I was wondering if you could answer a few questions that would help me out a lot. Is England like America where you have to go to the top 14 law schools in the country to be a successful solicitor that makes good money? And what matters the most get into a really good English law school, like in America it's LSAT, GPA, personal statement and then internships, what is most important to get into a really good English Law School? I know my credits would transfer as an undergrad degree and my GPA is good so what else should I focus on refining for my application? Thank you so much and loved the video and Congratulations on your successes thus far and for sharing !!! ❤🧡
Hey Ivor, I really appreciate your advice here. About the minimum requirements for law school/ law university (is the same? lol yea right.) I just got my A levels result today literally an hour ago, I was feeling quite dejected because I got BCC for a levels. Do all universities want all As and Bs? what about me, a BCC? is there still hope ? I mean I still want to take law degree regardless because financially I am funding myself for it but I do want to know will any decent universities could take me in? I would love your opinion in this. I know you said you got grades even Cs and Ds in the video but im kinda unsure whether even decent universities will take me for Law
I just wondering what if i wanna be a lecturer of law instead of a lawyer? What i have to do then? Do i have to study until phD?? I just have way tooo manyyy questions ksjdjdndndb and also do i need to go through the “chambering” process also???
No need. All of my law lecturers some of them only have degree which means ur LLB ticket. If you just wanted to be a law lecturer, then it is not necessary for you to seat for CLP exam.

Malaysians dont need to sit extra papers to be qualified, they straight away do Pupillage.

Either one is fine. But that doesn’t mean if you aren’t a science stream student you cant do law. Even if you took art stream you can still do law.
